Episode 23 recap: Chen Wan Zhen chose to tell the truth and stand up for justice.
Chen Wan Zhen solemnly told the manager that she must receive the sales commission she was owed from the previous month before leaving the company. For this, she had already submitted a detailed financial report to the headquarters. After handing over her work, she returned to her desk to start packing up her belongings. Soon, two staff members from the company headquarters rushed in and carefully questioned the manager about Chen Wan Zhen's identity. After confirming that Chen Wan Zhen was previously just a cleaning staff member, they still remained suspicious, as this financial report could only have been produced by a professional.
The manager realized the seriousness of the situation. After the headquarters staff left, he immediately called Chen Wan Zhen into the office. Not only did he agree to return the sales commission Chen Wan Zhen had requested, but he also offered an additional 30% in benefits, on the condition that Chen Wan Zhen sign a confidentiality agreement.

After work, Chen Wan Zhen took a photo of the confidentiality agreement the company wanted her to sign and showed it to a lawyer friend. After carefully reviewing it, the lawyer friend warned her that signing the agreement could make her complicit in cover-up and extortion. It would be better to revise the contract to be for investigative services or an investigative report, which would lower the risk.
The lawyer friend also personally helped draft a safer agreement. In the underground parking lot, Chen Wan Zhen saw Yu Chen's car with the windows open, and was surprised to find Yu Chen asleep inside. But Chen Wan Zhen was now certain that telling the truth would not bring legal trouble. The next day, she obtained several copies of the investigative report and resolutely went to the sales office. There, she firmly explained the contents to all the sales staff and prospective buyers, helping them avoid being "mowed down" like grass. Those who had been kept in the dark were shocked after seeing the investigative report, and immediately demanded the company take responsibility and refund their previous investments.
