Episode 18 recap: Zhao Xiao Ren saved Jun Mo.
On the other side of the secret passage, Zhao Xiao Ren was bitten by a poisonous snake. After great difficulty, he managed to exit the secret passage. Here, there was a hidden chamber, and inside, Zhao Xiao Ren encountered a mysterious person. The mysterious person tried to stop Zhao Xiao Ren, and they engaged in a fight.
The mysterious person left first, but before leaving, he gave Zhao Xiao Ren half a Dragon Rock Pill, saying the item was there, though it may not be enough to save Jun Mo. Outside, Left Xia Chen and the Poison King were waiting for Zhao Xiao Ren, and they were greatly relieved to see him emerge.
Zhao Xiao Ren showed the half-pill to the Poison King, asking if it could save Jun Mo. The Poison King said that while half a pill might not be enough, it could work if combined with other herbs. Zhao Xiao Ren was happy to hear this, but then suddenly fainted. The Poison King checked on Zhao Xiao Ren and discovered that he had been bitten by the poisonous snake in the hidden chamber, but had surprisingly not been affected. The Poison King was perplexed, as he had trained for so long but could not attain a body immune to all poisons, yet Zhao Xiao Ren had managed it.
The Poison King gave Zhao Xiao Ren the remedy he had prepared, saying it may not fully cure the poison but would allow him to live for decades. Zhao Xiao Ren then took the pill to Jun Mo. Together, they headed towards the palace, but were stopped at the entrance.
