Episode 15 recap: Chu Yun helped Yan Di solve her troubles.
Chu Yun found out that Simon had transferred all of Yan Di's artwork abroad, and the ones Yan Di burned were just fakes. Simon was preparing to flee by boat but was caught red-handed by the police. Lin Meng Qiu dressed up nicely, making Lv Wen Wen suspect she went to see Tan Wen. Chu Yun witnessed Yan Di having an outburst at the hospital, so she sent Ye Xuan and Yan An Yang to investigate Simon. Ye Xuan found that Simon had commissioned talented art students to copy 18 of Yan Di's works, and Yan An Yang discovered that Simon had sent one of those copied works, titled "Sunset", to his wife Chen Xin Yu in Malaysia, where she had exhibited it on her personal account.
Chu Yun deduced that the 18 works Yan Di burned were just copies made by the art students, and Simon had switched out Yan Di's real works. As long as they could confirm that the "Sunset" painting exhibited by Chen Xin Yu was the real one, they could prove Simon's scheme.
Li Bo gathered the bidding company bosses, except for Shang Yong Dao, and revealed that Chen Qi Lun was determined to win the Cheng Guang Plaza project. Chen promised to give them the follow-up work if they cooperated with Cheng Lun Group's bid. Tian Zong guessed that this was a move against Shang Yong Dao, which Li Bo admitted.
Yan An Yang found that Chen Xin Yu had consigned the "Sunset" painting to an auction house, priced at 1.4 million. He got his Malaysian friend to verify it was the real work. He immediately reported this to Chu Yun, who put someone on 24-hour surveillance of Simon.
Tian Zong informed Shang Yong Dao about this, who was confident in winning despite Chen Qi Lun's underhanded tactics. Shang Yong Dao saw Tian Zong off, and someone secretly photographed them.
At the bidding meeting, Shen Si Fang presented photos of Shang Yong Dao and Tian Zong together, as well as other bosses, claiming they had colluded. The committee disqualified their bids.
Chen Qi Lun won the Cheng Guang Plaza project, much to Shang Yong Dao's disdain, who vowed never to work with him again. Chu Yun presented the evidence against Simon to Yan Di, who was deeply hurt that she had fallen for another scam after escaping Stone's clutches. Yan Di begged Chu Yun to protect her remaining 17 paintings from being taken abroad by Simon.
Ou Yang Lu Lu took every opportunity to practice self-defense with Tian Jia, using it as an excuse to thoroughly investigate the truth behind Lin Meng Qiu's murder.
Ou Yang Lu Lu falsely claimed she needed a loan and proactively contacted Ou Jin Credit. Chu Yun sent someone to closely monitor Simon, and discovered that Simon was preparing to ship that batch of paintings to Thailand by boat. Chu Yun immediately rushed to the dock with his people.
Worried that the matter would be exposed, Simon decided to ship the paintings a month early, and even gave the ship owner a large sum of money. Chu Yun and his people arrived in time, and directly exposed Simon's crime of stealing and deceiving Yan Di. Simon made all sorts of specious arguments, but Chu Yun had Shao Jun bring the police to arrest both Simon and the ship captain. They were so scared that they tried to flee, but Shao Jun and the police squad chased and intercepted them, quickly apprehending them.
Yan Di's 17 paintings were recovered. Chu Yun couldn't bear to auction off these works, and wanted to use Simon's foundation to repay Yan Di. Chen Qi Lun wanted to invite Shen Si Fang out for drinks to celebrate, but Shen Si Fang didn't want things to get out of hand, and asked Chen Qi Lun to come to his hometown to drink instead.
Qin Hong actively came to collaborate with Shang Yongdao to deal with Chen Qi Lun, and Shang Yongdao revealed that the biggest obstacle for Chen Qi Lun was the Changcheng Village. Chen Qi Lun brought Li Bo to Shen Si Fang's hometown, specially bringing an invaluable good wine to thank Shen Si Fang for his strong support. Shen Si Fang reminded Chen Qi Lun not to be careless, as Changcheng Village was the toughest nut to crack, with the city's two attempts to launch the Chenguang Plaza project both ending in failure because of this village.
Chu Yun and Shi Jiangang negotiated many times, and Shi Jiangang reduced the compensation to 3 million. Yan Di still refused to sell his paintings to repay the debt. Chu Yun found that Simon had opened a foundation using Yan Di's identity, so Yan Di could apply to the court to recover his own property, which would be enough to repay Shi Jiangang. Yan Di was deeply grateful to Chu Yun.
Tian Jia noticed that Ou Yang Lu Lu had been acting strangely lately, often seeming distracted and preoccupied. After work one day, Ou Yang Lu Lu had dressed up carefully, and Tian Jia guessed she was going to see Tan Wen. Chu Yun wanted to go home with Qi Lin to see Qi Run Yu, and Qi Lin readily agreed.
