Episode 36 recap: The case of Zheng Zhixia finally came to an end due to his compromise
To ease the tension, Chu Yun invited Mu Zi Feng to dinner and apologized to Qi Lin on his behalf Mu Zi Feng did not want to be misunderstood, so he decided to no longer interfere with the Morning Glory Plaza case and would not continue to act as the lawyer for the Pursuing Light Demolition Company
Chu Yun understood and supported his decision, but also felt it was a pity, as the case had a lucrative reward. Qi Lin was in a gloomy mood and went to box with Shao Jun to vent. Meanwhile, Jia Xiao Fei, after getting drunk at a bar, angrily scolded his subordinate for driving too slowly, inadvertently revealing that his subordinate had tampered with the racing car's brakes, causing the accident that injured Huang Chun Xiang.

Jia Xiao Fei did not want to leave and wanted to take revenge on Qi Lin, so he asked Fang Qiang to help arrange a meeting with Qi Lin. Fang Qiang knew Jia Xiao Fei's plot and told Qi Lin the truth.
Fang Qiang also tracked Jia Xiao Fei and captured evidence of his framing of Huang Chun Xiang. After handing the video over to Qi Lin, Jia Xiao Fei and his men came chasing after them. Fang Qiang protected Qi Lin's escape, but they were cornered in a dead-end alley by Jia Xiao Fei.
Qi Lin told Fang Qiang to leave first, intending to negotiate with Jia Xiao Fei alone. But Fang Qiang refused to go, saying he would face the consequences together with Qi Lin. Jia Xiao Fei threatened them, but Qi Lin and Fang Qiang still fought back against him.
Jia Xiao Fei drew a knife and stabbed towards Qi Lin, but Fang Qiang rushed in to shield Qi Lin and took the blow. The police arrived shortly after, and Jia Xiao Fei managed to escape.
Fang Qiang was rushed to the hospital and finally out of danger after emergency treatment. Qi Lin stayed by his side the entire time.
The city leadership decided to turn part of the Morning Glory Plaza into a green space called "The Eye of Qinggang", and assigned Shang Yongdao to be in charge of it. Chen Qi Lun was unhappy about this and wanted to snatch the project back from Shang Yongdao, but Shen Sifang advised him not to act rashly. However, Chen Qi Lun still planned to instigate the villagers of Changsheng Village to create trouble in order to achieve his goal.
After work, Ou Yang Lulu and Ye Xuan invited Qi Lin to dinner, but he declined. Chu Yun also offered to drive Qi Lin home, but he refused as well. Qi Lin swore to find a breakthrough from Jia Xiao Fei to thoroughly investigate the cases of Zheng Zhixia and Huang Chun Xiang.
Chu Yun went to see Mu Zi Feng to learn more about Jia Xiao Fei's situation. Mu Zi Feng guessed she was there for Qi Lin's sake, but insisted he was acting in the best interest of his client. Chu Yun reminded him that if he had done something wrong, he should take the initiative to turn himself in.
