Episode 5 recap: Chu Yun and Qi Lin got into another dispute.
Chu Yun brought people to the Yongkang Fitness Equipment Factory, rescued the manager Dong Ming. Mu Zi Feng, Dong Ming's lawyer, later rushed over. Zhang Jian Guo came to the court to look for Chu Yun, but Chu Yun was out on official duty, so Zhang Jian Guo waited patiently in the lobby. Qi Lin curiously asked Zhang Jian Guo about the situation.
Chu Yun learned that Dong Ming was being held by workers demanding back wages, so he immediately took Ou Yang Lu Lu, Zhang Tian Yi, Shao Jun and Ye Xuan to the Yongkang Fitness Equipment Factory. The workers demanded that Dong Ming pay them the owed wages before they would release him. Chu Yun was well aware of the workers' situations and difficulties. Dong Ming had no money, angering the workers who became emotional and wanted to retaliate against him. Chu Yun loudly stopped them.
Qi Lin stayed in the office following procedures. As noon approached, he went to the cafeteria and saw an elderly man with white hair sitting in the lobby, holding a cold steamed bun. Qi Lin quickly went to the cafeteria to buy some dishes and bring them to the old man. Mu Zi Feng rushed over upon hearing the news. He was entrusted by Chen Qi Lun of the Qilun Group to negotiate the acquisition of Dong Ming's company. Mu Zi Feng persuaded the workers with much difficulty. Chu Yun arranged for Chen Qi Lun and Dong Ming to discuss the matter privately.
Qi Lin learned that the old man was named Zhang Jian Guo, who had been waiting for Chu Yun in the court all morning. Dong Ming originally wanted 30 million, but Mu Zi Feng offered 10 million. After much bargaining, they settled on 25 million. Mu Zi Feng called Chen Qi Lun, who knowing Dong Ming had no other choice, only increased the offer by 100,000 on the 10 million. Helpless, Dong Ming had to sign the transfer contract.
Mu Zi Feng publicly announced that 3 million would be paid to the Yongkang Fitness Equipment Factory within 3 days. Chu Yun promised to promptly repay the workers' wages. The workers were overjoyed. Chu Yun had Shao Jun, the court officer, take the ringleaders Yang Wen, Li Fu Ming and Jiang You Guang back for investigation.
Mu Zi Feng and Chu Yun were old classmates. Chu Yun thanked Mu Zi Feng for the timely help, and Mu Zi Feng invited Chu Yun to dinner to catch up, which Chu Yun agreed to after Dong Ming's case was resolved.
Qi Lin asked Ou Yang Lu Lu about Zhang Jian Guo. Zhang Rui, Zhang Jian Guo's son, had provided money for Zhang Jian Guo to buy a house, but after the house was demolished, Zhang Jian Guo gave all the compensation money to his daughter Zhang Qing. Angered, Zhang Rui sued his father, and the court ordered Zhang Jian Guo to return the compensation money to Zhang Rui, so he had to pay it back in installments from his salary.
Chu Yun returned to the courthouse very late, and Zhang Jian-guo had been waiting for her. Chu Yun told him to fill out the forms and make an appointment according to procedure. Zhang Jian-guo kept insisting that Qi Lin had promised to help him handle this matter, but Chu Yun angrily dismissed him in a few words.
Qi Lin came directly to see Chu Yun, questioning the unfairness of her verdict on Zhang Jian-guo's case and requesting a new investigation. Chu Yun was already irritated, and Qi Lin's bringing up a closed case further angered her. She scolded Qi Lin loudly, warning him not to interfere.

Chu Yun agreed to Qi Lin's request to reinvestigate Zhang Jian-guo's case, but only outside of work hours. Qi Lin was so upset that he planned to go complain to Zhou Lei.
Ou Yang Lu Lu came out to persuade Qi Lin, and Yan An Yang also gave Qi Lin important evidence in the Zhang Jian-guo case. Zhang Jian-guo's monthly salary was now only 1000 yuan, and his wife Zhang Qing was lazy and idle, constantly forcing him to cause trouble at the courthouse. Meanwhile, Zhang Rui ran a seafood restaurant, working tirelessly from morning till night.
Dong Ming-yue became suspicious, thinking someone was sabotaging him while he negotiated the acquisition with Qiling Group. He was forced to sell his factory for over 10 million yuan. As he had suspected, the company president Li personally went to send money to Yang Wen, Li Fu-ming, and Jiang You-guang.
Cui Cai-yan was uneducated and only knew how to play games with friends. Mu Zi-feng looked down on her, but out of respect for Cui Tian-cheng, he was polite to her.
Qi Lin learned that Zhang Rui and his wife went to the seafood market at dawn to buy fish. He went to the market at 2am to investigate the situation. Zhang Rui had used all his savings to buy a house for his father Zhang Jian-guo, only to have Zhang Jian-guo give all 3 million in demolition compensation to his wife Zhang Qing, which deeply troubled Zhang Rui. Qi Lin helped Zhang Rui carry the fish, and Zhang Rui's wife gave Qi Lin a bag of fish to bring to the unwell Zhang Jian-guo.
