Episode 14 recap: Pei Pei was framed and imprisoned by Cui Liu.
Shan Dan Dan and Pei Pei had a minor falling out. The next morning, Shan Dan Dan went to deliver food to Pei Pei, but she was nowhere to be found. A-liu also went out to search for Pei Pei but couldn't find her. To Shan Dan Dan's shock, Pei Pei was found unconscious in another woman's room. Soon, the authorities arrived and took Pei Pei away.
Shan Dan Dan had no idea what had happened that night that led to Pei Pei being in that situation. Shan Shuang Shuang discovered that the drawings in Gui Pei Ge were incredibly sophisticated, on par with the intricate designs on the phoenix crown from years ago, but they had been suppressed by Su Yu Xuan all this time.
Just then, Pei Pei and A-liu came by. Shan Shuang Shuang quickly greeted Pei Pei, and A-liu explained that he had taken Shan Shuang Shuang there. Pei Pei wanted to blame A-liu, but Shan Dan Dan also arrived and apologized. However, Pei Pei felt they had all been too excessive in bringing an outsider to that place.
Shan Dan Dan told Shan Shuang Shuang about her intimate relationship with Pei Pei, though Shan Shuang Shuang was still focused on investigating the phoenix crown matter, hoping her sister could be happy.
Pei Pei later received a letter summoning her to Hua Man Lou to discuss the plagiarism at the Dou Yu competition. Pei Pei went and discovered it was a trap set by Cui Liu, who wanted Pei Pei's forgiveness. Cui Liu poisoned Pei Pei's drink, and Pei Pei collapsed.
The next morning, when Shan Dan Dan brought food to Pei Pei, she was gone. A-liu informed Shan Dan Dan about Pei Pei going to Hua Man Lou, and Shan Dan Dan rushed there, only to find Cui Liu falsely accusing Pei Pei. The authorities then took Pei Pei away.
Shan Dan Dan realized Pei Pei had been framed, and it was actually Su Jue who orchestrated this, hiring Cui Liu for revenge and offering her assistance. A-liu wanted to rescue Pei Pei from prison, but was stopped by Shan Shuang Shuang. Shan Dan Dan comforted the Pei family, assuring them Pei Pei was innocent and that she would find a way to free her.
When Shan Dan Dan visited the prison, she was saddened to see Pei Pei's injured and weakened state, realizing the authorities had mistreated her. Shan Dan Dan reported Pei Pei's condition to her sister and A-liu, knowing they now needed to find evidence to exonerate Pei Pei.
Shan Dan Dan had long suspected the wine and drinks provided by Cui Liu, but after inspection, there were no issues, and Yang Mama also said that only Cui Liu and Pei Pei had been to that room, so there were no other suspects. Shan Dan Dan did not know who wanted to frame Pei Pei, nor did she know who had reported to the authorities, and Shan Shuang Shuang wanted to investigate the matter of the Phoenix Crown, as Pei Pei absolutely must not get into trouble, or else the clues would be lost.
The lord of the city was also helpless about Pei Pei being framed by Cui Liu, and now that Pei Pei was in trouble, in order to avoid the Su Yuxuan family's monopoly, he ordered someone to take action, which was also a way to punish the unruly people in the city.
