Wei Qingming recalled that he had tasked Miao Jiang with this matter. She had laid in ambush at the door of the Japanese military police, and witnessed Da Qiao and Ou Xiao An getting off the car. Wei Qingming's team had laid in ambush outside the hotel, waiting for Da Qiao and Ou Xiao An to disembark. Miao Jiang immediately sprang into action, spraying them with machine gun fire, killing them both. This photo immediately became public news.
