Episode 22 recap: Wei Qing Ming began to doubt Ou Xiao An's identity
Ou Xiao An felt that their suspicion was affecting his work, so he deliberately spoke unclearly about the purpose of establishing the 819 group Wen Yi Shan suggested that before they caught the Big Bridge, if they still hadn't interrogated Ou Xiao An clearly, they shouldn't question his identity anymore
Wei Qing Ming disagreed, believing that until Ou Xiao An's suspicion of collusion was resolved, they couldn't catch the Big Bridge. Ou Xiao An, unable to explain, directly admitted that he was a communist. After hearing this, Wei Qing Ming had someone arrest Ou Xiao An for interrogation.
In a moment of impulse, Ou Xiao An said he was a communist, and Wei Qing Ming wanted to arrest him. Wen Yi Shan couldn't bear to see this, and spoke up for Ou Xiao An. Li Shao Tang felt that the top priority was to find the Big Bridge and the germ bombs. He found the location of the prison from a soldier's diary, and also estimated there were over 8,000 germ bombs, and the "Falling Cherry Blossom Plan" could start at any time.
Wei Qing Ming still didn't let Ou Xiao An go, saying that they would continue to search for the Big Bridge while also investigating him.
The mute prison friend was actually 9548. He escaped to the China-Myanmar border town of Wandin, and saw some canned food on the ground and picked it up to eat. Wen Yi Shan first saw those letters, and he hid Lou Ming Yuan's bloodstained letter, suspecting that Lou Ming Yuan had superiors in the prison.
He went to ask Ou Xiao An about the situation, feeling that Lou Ming Yuan's comrades must have wanted Ou Xiao An to help take the letters out. Thinking of Lou Ming Yuan made Ou Xiao An feel uneasy, as Ye Xuan Min had once told him that Lou Ming Yuan's biggest regret was not telling Ou Xiao An sooner that he was a communist.
Ou Xiao An said they were all Chinese, and he didn't refuse to help carry the letters, not wanting to cut off their last hope.
Ou Xiao An went back to the room and smashed everything, squatting in the corner crying, feeling he had let down those who died in the prison. Qin Mo Qing asked him about Ye Xuan Min, and Ou Xiao An said he didn't know, their contact was all through 9548.
At the meeting, Wei Qing Ming wanted to use the letters to find out Ou Xiao An's identity, but unexpectedly it was Li Shao Tang who helped him out of the dilemma. Li Shao Tang said the Big Bridge must be contacting the spies in the station to implement the "Falling Cherry Blossom Plan", but they were hidden too deep, making it difficult to investigate.
Miao Jiang wanted to sneak into Wei Qing Ming's office to steal the pass, but Mao Ren Xing beat him to it. Ou Xiao An drank while reminiscing about his days in prison, telling 9548 that he had joined the communist party, and the organization and Ye Xuan Min had both accepted him, even holding a simple swearing-in ceremony in prison.
Miao Jiang asked Tian Zhong to pass a message to the bridge, warning him not to let Miao Jiang take any risks. 9548 saw a sign for the Rongjiu Trading Company on the ground and deliberately carved a secret code on it. When he left, he saw the company's vehicle and thought it was Chinese, so he stopped it, only to find that it was filled with fleeing Japanese soldiers.
The Japanese soldiers wanted to kill him, so he no longer pretended to be mute and instead pretended to be Japanese. The Japanese soldiers thought he was also an escapee, so they asked him some questions, but someone saw through his lie. Fortunately, some comrades from the Expeditionary Force appeared and surrounded the vehicle.
Qin Mo Qing found out some information from the Expeditionary Force, and learned that someone had seen Ando before he was escorted back to the station.
When Wei Qing Ming made a phone call, he found that nothing had been discovered in Myanmar, but a vehicle with Mao Ren Xing's pass had passed through recently. Wei Qing Ming then discovered that the passes in the drawer were missing.
Ou Xiao An learned from Wang Sen that Ando had met with Mao Ren Xing before coming to the station, and Qin Mo Qing was also looking for him, so they suspected Mao Ren Xing was a spy in the station.
Li Shao Tang wanted to catch Mao Ren Xing himself, so Miao Jiang gave Wei Qing Ming Mao Ren Xing's file. Wei Qing Ming found that Mao Ren Xing had met with Qin Ji Ru before his departure, and that Mao Ren Xing's brother had suddenly switched to doing international trade.
Mao Ren Xing passed the checkpoint very smoothly, and the checkpoint staff just let him through after seeing his pass. Qin Ji Ru heard that the goods would arrive soon and praised Mao Ren Xing for his efficiency, but the Third Madam said his brother was not quite reliable.
Wei Qing Ming told Wen Yi Shan what he had learned, suspecting that Qin Ji Ru and Mao Ren Xing were colluding to smuggle the Japanese's biological weapons. Wen Yi Shan spoke up for Qin Mo Qing, feeling that she must not have known about it. Wei Qing Ming thought Qin Mo Qing had gone to warn them, and told everyone to be careful of her. Wen Yi Shan had the Xifeng Station stop Li Shao Tang's car and called Qin Mo Qing back, but didn't tell her the reason.
Ou Xiao An had Qin Mo Qing go back first, and Li Shao Tang felt that something was not right about this. Wen Yi Shan probed Qin Mo Qing's views on the incident at the Jifeng Company, and showed her Mao Ren Xing's account, and Qin Mo Qing said she would give the station an explanation.
