Episode 29 recap: Ye Xuan Min Brought Back to Headquarters by Shen Cong Wu
In episode 29, Zeng Ji Wu cunningly arranged for Ye Xuan Min and Li Man Qiu to switch rooms, clearly intending to provoke Qin Mo Qing. Qin Mo Qing, alarmed by this, quickly informed Wang Qiu Shui. Wang Qiu Shui also found this situation tricky, as the two parties were currently in a critical stage of peace negotiations. She thought that if she could just provide the Nationalist army with the specific name list and address, they might release the captives. Wang Qiu Shui also specifically reminded Qin Mo Qing that they needed to find a way to get information about the location of the poison gas grenades and biological weapons from the old fox at the bridge.
This was a big deal, as it concerned the lives of many people. Meanwhile, the man at the bridge wasn't idle either. He threatened Ou Xiao An, saying he knew about Ou Xiao An's good relationship with Lou Ming Yuan and Ye Xuan Min. Though anxious inside, Ou Xiao An remained calm on the surface.
He turned around and told the bridge man that the Military Statistics department had thoroughly investigated him and found nothing wrong, warning that the man himself better be careful as the Military Statistics department would soon interrogate him. As for Miao Jiang, she went alone to the Hua Jiang villa, armed with Wei Qing Ming's authorization, to take over the interrogation of the bridge man.
Although Ou Xiao An was unhappy about this, he had no choice but to hand the interrogation task over to Miao Jiang. Miao Jiang wanted to know the bridge man's true identity, but he refused to say. When Wang Qiu Shui heard that Ye Xuan Min had been switched out, she suspected the Nationalist army was intentionally trying to set a trap. Qin Mo Qing also felt guilty, thinking Wen Yi Shan might have reported them, regretting not staying behind to rescue the two.
Wang Qiu Shui comforted Qin Mo Qing, saying the two were likely unharmed, as the Nationalist army might be using them as bait at this critical juncture. Ou Xiao An also heard about this, and Qin Mo Qing asked him to help find the two. Since she couldn't go to the hospital conveniently, she planned to go find Director Zhang and explain to him that the switcheroo had nothing to do with her. Ou Xiao An reminded her to be careful in handling this, lest she make the situation worse.
