Episode 10 recap: Yun Shu Uncovers Her Lineage

After receiving a letter, Song Huan-bei hurriedly rushed to the destination, only to find Yun Shu by Su Shan's lifeless body. They buried Su Shan without erecting a gravestone, as Song Huan-bei felt that it suited Su Shan's carefree spirit. In Song Huan-bei's room, Yun Shu saw a portrait that resembled Cloud-e, but with a different demeanor. When Song Huan-bei entered, Yun Shu wanted to know why he had been so good to her, but Song Huan-bei did not reveal their sibling relationship, fearing it would cause trouble.

Yun Shu knew Song Huan-bei was hiding something, so she gave him the diary she had risked her life to retrieve from Tao Lin Manor. Yun Shu felt the diary belonged to Song Huan-bei's foster father, and was surprised that Song Huan-bei did not receive it himself. This made her realize they were hiding something from her.

Under Yun Shu's pressing, Song Huan-bei revealed that Yun Shu was the sole inheritor of the Mo Clan. Yun Shu was reluctant to accept this, but the portrait of Cloud-in, who resembled her, and the birthmark on her shoulder matching her former sworn sister's, confirmed the truth.

Song Huan-bei had trained under Shu Cloud's father, so he had always called Yun Shu his sworn sister. Yun Shu did not want to accept this, as her parents had been imperial rebels, so she went to Tao Lin Manor to ponder the matter alone. There, she drunkenly fell asleep, and in her dream called out "Elder Brother," surprising Song Huan-bei when he found her.

Yun Shu took Cloud-in's portrait to the palace to show Cloud-e, who was shocked to learn that Yun Shu and Ying-ai now knew the truth.
