Episode 12 recap: Yun Shu Gets Jealous of Dream Girl

In episode 12, Yun Shu wants to know why Song Huan Bei has been hiding his identity as the crown prince in getting close to him. Angered, Yun Shu even attacks Song Huan Bei, who then hastens to tell Yun Shu the truth. It turns out the emperor had grown suspicious of the deposed crown prince Shen Mo and the Mu clan, suspecting they were plotting rebellion, so he had them investigated.

Originally, the emperor wanted the investigators to gather evidence before convicting them. But the investigators sought to make an ironclad case. Unexpectedly, a massive fire broke out at Tao Lin Manor one day. Song Huan Bei was lucky to be rescued by the guards, but regrettably he couldn't save Yun Shu too. Song Huan Bei believes the eunuch Zhang is behind the arson, so he's determined to get to the bottom of the case and clear the Mu clan's name.

After meeting Yun Shu, the Dream Girl at Qian Ji Pavilion realizes Yun Shu is a woman, so she teases Yun Shu, much to Yun Shu's disgust. The Dream Girl later goes to Song Huan Bei's room and brings up this incident, thinking Yun Shu has already developed feelings for Song Huan Bei, even though Song Huan Bei is still uncertain. The Dream Girl is willing to test the waters with Yun Shu.

The Dream Girl has very reliable information sources and knows that Cloud Yi killed a maid to keep Yun Shu's identity as a woman secret. Song Huan Bei knows Cloud Yi is kindhearted, so he'll have to break his vow to protect Yun Shu at that time. Yun Shu keeps pestering Song Huan Bei to introduce the Dream Girl to her, making Yun Shu very jealous. But the Dream Girl wants to make Yun Shu jealous to see if she has feelings. Angered, Yun Shu goes out to look for clues on her own.

When Yun Shu dines at an inn with Qian Yan, Song Huan Bei shows up too, and Yun Shu is still sulking. Yun Shu asks Song Huan Bei to explain his relationship with the Dream Girl, which makes Song Huan Bei laugh. He quickly says the Dream Girl is just like an elder sister he hasn't married yet.
