Episode 14 recap: Song Huan-Bei Poisoned and Experiences Hallucinations
In Episode 14, Yun Yi directly stabbed a hairpin into Shen Lan's shoulder, which made Shen Lan even angrier. Unexpectedly, Yun Yi wanted to kill him for the sake of Yun Shu. Shen Lan had originally wanted to exclusively have Yun Yi's love, but with Yun Shu's arrival, he had to share it. Now, he was furious and heartbroken that Yun Yi would kill him for Yun Shu. Yun Yi also felt very guilty about his previous actions and immediately stopped, but to his surprise, Shen Lan was actually happy. Yun Yi had not tried to kill him for Yun Shu's sake, and there was no poison in the chicken soup, Shen Lan had just been testing Yun Yi's feelings for him. This angered Yun Yi, who called Shen Lan a madman.
After returning home, Shen Lan was pleased to learn that Song Huan-Bei had drunk the chicken soup. Song Huan-Bei knew the chicken soup was fine, but still felt something was off. He asked Meng Niang to warn Yun Shu to be more careful. When Yun Shu went to visit Song Huan-Bei, he suddenly collapsed, having been poisoned. Meng Niang went to find an antidote, instructing Yun Shu to help control the toxin in Song Huan-Bei's body through mouth-to-mouth resuscitation before leaving.
Without hesitation, Yun Shu directly kissed Song Huan-Bei to detoxify him. To Yun Shu's surprise, Song Huan-Bei woke up, but his body was covered in rashes and turning black, reminding him of the state his parents were in when they died. Soon, Song Huan-Bei began to experience hallucinations, seeing Yun Shu as the masked person from the past. Thinking those people were going to harm him again, he grabbed a knife and lunged at Yun Shu. Just then, Liu Su heard the commotion and went in. Song Huan-Bei, no longer recognizing his own people, stabbed towards Liu Su, and Yun Shu stepped in to block him.
