Episode 15 recap: Yun Shu Confronts Yun Yi About Harming Her Parents
In episode 15, Yun Shu was stabbed in the shoulder by Song Huan-bei, who then snapped out of his trance and was deeply remorseful. Yun Shu didn't get angry at all, and instead quickly went to comfort Song Huan-bei, telling him it was all in the past. Song Huan-bei fell unconscious due to the poison, but with Yun Shu's treatment, he started to recover. However, the method of poisoning strongly resembled Yun Yi's style, which made Yun Shu very angry. She directly confronted Yun Yi, demanding an explanation.
Yun Shu also learned that the secret passageway had been sealed off, which further angered her, as she felt that passageway was her connection to visiting Yun Yi in the palace. Yun Yi initially wanted to explain, but with Shen Lan's spies already planted around her, she was coerced into admitting that she had sealed the passageway, to avoid being accused of meddling in court affairs.
Yun Shu was even more suspicious, wondering if Yun Yi was behind the poisoning that killed Yun Shu's parents. She considered killing Yun Yi, but ultimately couldn't bring herself to do it. Instead, she took Yun Yin's portrait and knelt, thanking her for the upbringing, before cutting off all ties.
Back home, Yun Shu was deeply distraught, convinced that Yun Yi killed her parents and now wants to kill her too. Song Huan-bei comforted Yun Shu, but she felt unsafe and asked him to stay and sleep with her.
The next morning, Yun Shu changed into women's clothing, no longer disguising herself as a man. Just then, Meng Niang came to ask if she and Song Huan-bei were intimate, only to be disappointed by the truth. But soon, a royal edict arrived, announcing that Yun Shu was to be granted an imperial marriage, surprising them all.
