Episode 7 recap: Yunyi Searches for the Whereabouts of Su Shan

In Episode 7, at night, Song Huanbei sneaked into Yun Shu's room and poured a medicinal soup into her bowl. However, Yun Shu was already on alert, as she had witnessed Song Huanbei's earlier audience with Shen Lan, during which Shen Lan had instructed Song Huanbei to kill Yun Shu to prove his loyalty. Furious, Qian Yan immediately returned and informed Yun Shu.

After Qian Yan left, Song Huanbei ended up pouring out the poison Shen Lan had given him, saying that he could not help Shen Lan kill Yun Shu, as that would tarnish the prince's reputation. Shu Yun heard Song Huanbei's explanation and instructed Qian Yan to stand down, wanting to have a proper conversation with Song Huanbei. It turned out that the concoction was just a sleeping draught, as Song Huanbei simply wanted Yun Shu to rest well.

Early the next morning, Su Shan launched a sneak attack on Yun Shu, nearly seriously injuring her. Alarmed, Song Huanbei quickly intervened, but it was revealed that Su Shan's intention was actually to help treat Yun Shu's injuries. The coughing up of old blood was a sign that her condition was improving. Song Huanbei then gifted Yun Shu the jade hairpin he had intended for his future beloved.

Su Shan tried to find out from Song Huanbei whether Yun Shu was the Mu family's Mu Shu, and Song Huanbei reluctantly confirmed this, not wanting more people to know. Delighted, Su Shan realized the Mu family had finally found their heir. At that moment, the physician arrived, and Su Shan gave the physician his prized lingzhi mushroom to help treat Yun Shu's palpitations, much to Song Huanbei's dismay at his father's apparent favoritism.

Yun Shu took the bloodline lingzhi back and gave it to Yunyi to help treat her palpitations. Seeing the rare bloodline lingzhi, Yunyi was greatly surprised, as he knew only Su Shan could possess such a treasure. Yunyi then sent his men to search for Su Shan's whereabouts, and they soon presented Su Shan with the Mu family token, shocking him greatly.
