Episode 9 recap: Yun Shu and Songxuan Bei to Get Married
In Episode 9, Songxuan Bei was worried that Su Shan might be eavesdropping outside, so he quickly went to check. As it turned out, Su Shan was indeed eavesdropping, and he quickly ran away when Songxuan Bei came out. Songxuan Bei then went into the bathtub with Yun Shu to take a medicinal bath, but after some time, it didn't seem to have much effect. The two of them went to confront Su Shan, who then realized they must not have taken off all their clothes as he had instructed for the bath to be effective.
Songxuan Bei blindfolded himself and told Yun Shu to feel comfortable, and they both undressed completely and took the medicinal bath. This time, it was very effective. When Yun Shu was lighting a lamp after the bath and had not put her clothes back on yet, Qian Yan suddenly barged in, thinking they were done. Yun Shu quickly ran back into the bathtub and ended up embracing the naked Songxuan Bei, and Qian Yan quickly left.
When Songxuan Bei was helping Yun Shu back to the room, he found that someone was fighting with Shen Lan's attendant. Songxuan Bei quickly went to help drive the assailant away, telling the assassin to go back and tell Su Shan that he has been restrained. Songxuan Bei thought Su Shan must have known about Yun Shu's disguise as a man and wanted to eliminate them.
Yun Shu then discussed with Songxuan Bei about getting married, which took him by surprise. Although he really wanted to be with Yun Shu, the sudden proposal was hard for him to accept. Yun Shu felt that Su Shan's wish was for them to be together, so she wanted to fulfill the old man's wish. Songxuan Bei told Liu Su to prepare the wedding items, but Qian Yan was surprised to see the male and female outfits, still believing Yun Shu was a man and wanting Songxuan Bei to marry him, not knowing the one getting married was actually a woman.
