Episode 13 recap: Han Ting helped Ji Xing expand his social network.

Ji Xing went to the Star Harbor Hospital to talk about cooperation with Dr. Li Quan'an, but at the time Dr. Li completely ignored him. Han Ting knew that Ji Xing had been turned away, so he purposely invited Ji Xing to a dinner party hosted by Dr. Li. During the dinner, Han Ting seized the opportunity to vouch for Ji Xing, saying that Ji Xing's company was very strong and capable, and that's why the other party was reluctant to compromise with him before.

Han Ting deliberately praised Ji Xing, and also got the senior executives present to add Ji Xing on WeChat. After the dinner, Han Ting drove Ji Xing home. Ji Xing was still immersed in the joy of having met many new influential people. Ji Xing agreed, realizing that he had been doing the sales work these past few days, when his true strength lies in software development. As the Lunar New Year was approaching, Su Zhi Zhou thoughtfully prepared gifts for each employee at Xingchen, including a set of cosmetics for Li Li. Some employees were dissatisfied that they only received a cushion, but were relieved to see that Ji Xing only got a neck pillow, so Su Zhi Zhou's gifts were fair.

Li Li also received a gift from Xiao Yi Xiao, a whole trunk full of presents. Xingchen was going on holiday, so Ji Xing gave out big red envelopes to everyone, letting them go home and celebrate the New Year happily, while he stayed back to work overtime. Han Ting also gave Ji Xing a gift - a painting of a shimmering starry sky, though he jokingly said it looked like Ji Xing's unclear thinking. After Han Ting left, Ji Xing examined the painting carefully and found that the lines were clear and very organized, not disorderly at all.

Han Ting's grandfather has returned from Hainan, and the household is lively again. Zeng Di has also come to visit, as they are old family friends. It is evident that Han Ting's grandfather's family deeply cherishes this girl and treats her as a prospective daughter-in-law.

Li Li drove to the apartment building with New Year's gifts, intending to let her mother know that she had arrived. However, her mother started criticizing the flashy outfits Li Li had posted on her social media, stating that her clothes were too revealing and could attract unscrupulous individuals. She then proceeded to recount the shameful actions of Li Li's father, which had occurred in the past. Li Li, who had grown accustomed to her mother's constant criticism and reproach, did not want to be subjected to another bout of negative emotions. She left the New Year's gifts at the doorstep and drove away.

On New Year's Eve, the streets were quiet, and many people were gathered to enjoy their reunion dinner. Ji Xing, however, was still working late, oblivious to the time. When he finally got hungry, he went to a nearby restaurant, only to find that most of them were closed, as it was the New Year's holiday. Fortunately, he found a hotel that was still open, but they were not accepting individual orders, as they were only serving pre-booked tables. Just as Ji Xing was feeling perplexed, Lu Lin Jia arrived, as he was in charge of the hotel. Lu Lin Jia instructed the staff to provide Ji Xing with a special meal, and the entire meal was made complimentary.

Lu Lin Jia was aware of Han Ting's thoughts and feelings. Knowing that Ji Xing was spending the New Year alone, Lu Lin Jia immediately called Han Ting. At that moment, Han Ting was on the balcony, watching the fireworks and holding a family photo, reminiscing about his late parents. After ending the call with Lu Lin Jia, Ji Xing's mother called, saying that she couldn't find Ji Xing and asked if Han Ting knew where he was. Concerned for Ji Xing's well-being, Han Ting reassured Ji Xing's mother that he was standing in front of the company and immediately went out to look for Ji Xing.
