Episode 28 recap: Jixing Celebrates Hanting's Birthday at the Aquarium

In Episode 28, Su Zhi Zhou unintentionally mentioned the company's rewards for high-performing employees, including year-end bonuses and stock shares, during Huang Wei Wei's interview, which Huang Wei Wei then interpreted as a promise. However, this later became a source of conflict between her and Jixing.

Su Zhi Zhou felt deeply apologetic about this, but Jixing advised him not to worry, believing that employees who are not aligned with the company's goals are better off leaving.

The Dongyang Group had intended to acquire Zhu Hou Yu's company, but the negotiations were constantly hindered by Zhu Hou Yu's obstruction, leading to the acquisition price increasing exponentially.

To maintain the company's competitiveness, Hanting privately arranged for Tang Song to report Zhu Hou Yu's illegal activities through proper channels. Ultimately, Zhu Hou Yu was taken away by law enforcement, and his company temporarily suspended all production operations. Although Jixing had heard about Zhu Hou Yu's questionable character, she still felt a twinge of sympathy upon seeing that his actions had led to the unemployment of many people.

After work, Jixing went to see Hanting, curious to know if he would treat her the same way as Zhu Hou Yu if she were to ever go against Dongyang's interests. Hanting firmly shook his head and assured her that such a scenario would never happen.

In the evening, Hanting leaned on Jixing's shoulder and showed her old photos of himself. One of the photos caught Jixing's attention, as it featured a plush toy that was identical to the one she owned. It turned out that this toy was a birthday gift that both Jixing and Hanting had wanted as children, but there were only two left in the store. Jixing had bought one, and Hanting's mother had also come to the store, so Jixing gave the other one to her. This meant that Hanting's parents had already met Jixing, and their connection had been destined for many years.

As Hanting's birthday was approaching, Jixing decided to plan a special celebration for him. She invited Hanting to the aquarium and showed him the same photo from the toy store. Jixing recounted the story of their shared connection, encouraging Hanting to cherish his life more. Hanting was deeply moved, knowing that their bond had already been recognized by both of their parents.

Afterward, Hanting took Jixing to a small dumpling shop he had frequented as a child. The cozy atmosphere of the shop held special meaning for Hanting, and he wanted Jixing to learn more about his life.

On the other hand, Huang Wei Wei, after resigning, did not give up and began spreading false rumors about Jixing online, trying to tarnish her image. Jixing and Li Li learned of this and decided to take proactive measures. Jixing held an employee meeting and decided to establish a company public account to use the momentum of this incident to promote their products. Her idea was widely supported, and everyone started to showcase their strengths and actively participate in the product marketing.
