Episode 35 recap: Tú Xiǎoméng Agrees to Be Lù Línjia's Girlfriend

In episode 35, when the employees of Starcross Company heard that Ji Xing had returned, they were all thrilled. With the boss back, the company now had a steady hand at the helm, and everyone felt much more secure. During this period, the Hanhai Department had been trying to undermine them, but now that Ji Xing was back, the situation was sure to change.

At the first meeting called by Dong Yang, Qin Li also attended. After the meeting, he even approached Ji Xing to perform magic tricks, saying that if he succeeded, he would take her out to dinner. Ji Xing felt that this was her first collaboration since returning to the country, so she readily agreed. However, Han Ting saw this and was unhappy about it, as his girlfriend had returned and brought a romantic rival with her.

Later, Han Ting found out about the restaurant Qin Li had invited Ji Xing to, and even saw that Qin Li had given Ji Xing movie tickets. This confirmed his suspicions. But in the end, he chose to leave quietly without disturbing them. When Ji Xing realized Han Ting had left, she turned down Qin Li's invitation, saying she had just returned and had a lot of company matters to attend to, and didn't want anyone interfering in her private life.

During the meal, Ji Xing overheard a girl on the phone with Han Ting, thanking him for sending her a flower basket. This complicated her expression, and Qin Li noticed.

Lu Lin Jia had been kept in the dark by his mother, who made him believe he was very ill. In reality, Tú Xiǎoméng often came to visit him and took his son 77 out to eat, encouraging him to keep his spirits up. Tú Xiǎoméng had also experienced cyberbullying, but had overcome it, and even gained more fans. She told Lu Lin Jia that life always has dark times, but having someone to talk to is a blessing.

Back at the company, Ji Xing opened the location app she shared with Han Ting and saw that he was still online and that they were less than 50 meters apart. It seemed Han Ting had never forgotten her, warming Ji Xing's heart. But she didn't know when this distance between them could be resolved.

Ji Xing's parents came to visit her and were delighted to see how famous the company she worked for was. They hadn't seen Han Ting during the Chinese New Year, and learned that the two had broken up.  Ji Xing's mother said she understood her daughter, and if Ji Xing hadn't forgiven Han Ting, she wouldn't have come back to the country with him.

Lu Lin Jia was bored with pretending to be sick, so he secretly ate spicy snacks. When his son caught him, he had to stop the charade and said he wanted to create a happy opportunity for his son. He also saw Tú Xiǎoméng off, asking her again if she would be his girlfriend, and this time she didn't refuse. Lu Lin Jia was overjoyed.

Han Ting sent Ji Xing a video message, previously often sharing updates about his cat Dà Huáng. This time, he asked Ji Xing if she wanted to attend Dà Huáng's birthday party, and she agreed. She hadn't seen Dà Huáng in a long time and really missed him. At the party, Han Ting had a picnic on the lawn and prepared Ji Xing's favorite strawberry cake. The weather was nice, and everyone was happy. Ji Xing hugged Dà Huáng, feeling very content. Hearing Han Ting's apology, she had long since forgiven him, and the distance between them had dissipated.
