Episode 8 recap: Ji Xing and Han Ting have successfully signed a contract.

Ji Xing woke up to find Lili by her side, and remembered that she had just borrowed 100,000 yuan from Lili only to have it disappear. Ji Xing felt bitter about this, but Lili comforted her, saying it was no big deal since the company had just been founded and wasn't going bankrupt. Han Ting instructed his subordinates to keep an eye on Ji Xing's situation, and when he heard she had finally been discharged from the hospital, he prepared to secretly help her again. Ji Xing checked her phone and found that her boyfriend had called her many times - it seems Shao Yi Chen's father had been caught up in a fraud case, and he was hurriedly returning home to deal with it.

After a brief rest, Ji Xing dove back into her work, anxious as the company's funding had stalled. She assured her employees that the payroll would only be delayed by a few days, and the employees understood, even advising Ji Xing and Su Zhi Zhou to rest. As they were discussing this, they received an invitation from Han Ting's elder sister. If Ji Xing lacked this discernment, it would be hard for her to succeed in the future. When Ji Xing and Su Zhi Zhou went to negotiate with Dongke, Han Ting's cousin proposed increasing the investment by 10 million early on, but wanted a bit more than a third of the shares. When Ji Xing questioned whether this would maintain the original creative team, the cousin did not provide a clear answer.

Ji Xing began to hesitate, and Su Zhi Zhou was tempted, urging her not to think too far ahead - the company desperately needed a lifeline right now, so they should accept the funding to keep the company running, and figure out the rest later.

Su Zhi Zhou's idea was very shallow. Ji Xing went back and carefully reviewed East Science's business model and the companies they had previously acquired. East Science would first enter a company through financing, then quickly dilute the company's equity, and then successfully take control. After considering all the assumptions, Ji Xing quickly went to East Science and refused their financing. Tang Song reported this to Han Ting, who then immediately went to see Ji Xing. His conditions were similar to the elder sister's, except that the funding would only be used for Ji Xing's software development team, and no other members would be added. With Han Ting's promise, Ji Xing calmly signed the contract.

Lili brought in clients from the medical equipment industry that she had previously contacted, and Su Zhi Zhou felt a sense of excitement every time he saw her, and began to pursue her, though he was repeatedly rejected.

Shao Yi Chen had meals with Ji Xing, and noticed that she was always energetic and focused on work, without any consideration of marriage, which made him feel somewhat dejected. In the evening, Ji Xing proactively invited Shao Yi Chen to watch a movie, and then apologetically said that after this busy period, she would accompany him to visit his uncle and aunt. Shao Yi Chen did not respond, and simply changed the topic, letting Ji Xing enjoy the movie.
