Episode 28 recap: The Stars Destined to Meet
In episode 28, little sister Su was very tight-lipped, refusing to reveal the truth no matter how much Lan Jing Hui pressed her. Finally, Lan Jing Hui had no choice but to call in Ling Dong for help. As soon as Su saw Ling Dong, her eyes lit up and she smiled brightly like a blooming flower.
Ling Dong is quite clever - he directly told the little sister that if she would just reveal the truth, he would take her to see the stars. Hearing this, she immediately confessed. It turned out that Lan Jing Hui's mother had asked her to help get Lan Jing Hui's passport to apply for a visa. The little sister guessed that Lan Jing Hui's mother might want to surprise him by taking him on a trip abroad.
When Lan Jing Hui heard this news, he became incredibly excited and immediately pulled out his passport to give to the little sister. He had initially planned to play dumb, but seeing how happy she was, he let it go. He was reminded of the happy days he spent abroad with his mother. But later, he empathized that it must have been very hard on his mother, so he had initiated their return to China. After that, he rarely got to see his mother. However, he believes she is doing well now.
Meanwhile, Qing Tian went out to play with Chen Lu Yang, but she was in a bad mood. Chen Lu Yang bought her lots of delicious food, but Qing Tian still couldn't cheer up. She told Chen Lu Yang that her parents had gotten divorced and were fighting, and that from now on, no one would be there to ride the carousel with her. Hearing this, Chen Lu Yang felt very sorry for her, so he accompanied her to the amusement park. Qing Tian sat on the carousel for a long time, pouring out her heart to Chen Lu Yang and crying.
Just then, Jupiter and Saturn happened to align, distracting Qing Tian and finally making her smile.
Over on Xu Meng Yu's side, things weren't going well either. She had waited a long time, but her senior had messaged to say he couldn't come. Just as she was about to leave, Ma Yi Ming suddenly appeared. Xu Meng Yu thought he was going to mock her, because she had always thought her senior appreciated her essays, but now she felt it was just her own delusion.
But Ma Yi Ming started reciting Xu Meng Yu's essays, telling her that he had always been following her writing. He said he would always be by her side, but Xu Meng Yu felt he was just pitying her.
That night, Lan Jing Hui, Ling Dong, and little sister Su went stargazing together. Lan Jing Hui reminisced about a childhood promise he had made with a friend to watch the stars together when they grew up. But he didn't know where that friend was now or how they were doing. Ling Dong asked if Lan Jing Hui had considered that his mother's surprise might be an opportunity to study abroad. Lan Jing Hui said he hadn't thought of that. Ling Dong then asked how Lan Jing Hui would choose if that were the case, and Lan Jing Hui said he would need to think it over carefully. After that, Ling Dong laid down, and Lan Jing Hui followed suit, gazing up at the stars and lost in contemplation.
