Episode 4 recap: Ling Dong accompanied Lan Jing Hui on a jog.
Lan Jing Hui questioned the director Zhang, asking what would happen if they found out. The unreasonable director Zhang reminded Lan Jing Hui that they had no right to negotiate, and also demanded that Fang Hai go back and write a self-criticism. The classmates who knew about this incident were up in arms, with some believing it was related to Lan Jing Hui leaving the flowerpot outside, and others thinking it was Xiao Xiao Hua's responsibility since she was the last one to leave yesterday.
Xiao Xiao Hua felt guilty, thinking that if she had cleaned up thoroughly, this wouldn't have happened. Suddenly, someone bumped into Xiao Xiao Hua and quickly left, making her realize something. Ling Dong investigated the scene and believed the culprit was not Lan Jing Hui, as he wasn't that smart. Ling Dong checked the scratches where the flowerpot was and thought it was knocked down by something. Lan Jing Hui suddenly thought of something but refused to tell Ling Dong. Then Xiao Xiao Hua rushed over, saying the object was a basketball bag, which angered Lan Jing Hui for stealing his lines, but he also realized the person was Bi Peng.
Lan Jing Hui went to confront Bi Peng, who admitted it was him because he saw the words "The Greatest Basketball" written on the ball and angrily swung the bag, causing the flowerpot to fall. Although it was unintentional, he acknowledged that it had affected their class.
Bi Peng left arrogantly, slamming the door. Lan Jing Hui tried to leave but found the door was locked and couldn't be opened. While alone in the room, the lights suddenly went out, reminding Lan Jing Hui of his childhood fear of the dark, causing him to scream loudly. Ling Dong, halfway on his way back, suddenly recalled the conversation he had witnessed between Lan Jing Hui and Bi Peng, and hurried back to the school to find Lan Jing Hui.
When Ling Dong burst into the room with a fire extinguisher, Lan Jing Hui had already fainted. Ling Dong carried Lan Jing Hui outside and sprayed water on his face, reviving him. Lan Jing Hui admitted he had fainted due to his fear of the dark and being locked in the room.
Ling Dong acknowledged that he had witnessed their earlier conversation, and believed Lan Jing Hui, but no one else did, and Lan Jing Hui had no evidence. Afterwards, Lan Jing Hui caught a cold and warned Ling Dong not to talk about what had happened that day. Ling Dong intentionally called Lan Jing Hui "nephew," angering him and prompting Lan Jing Hui to firmly tell Ling Dong not to call him that.
The students in the class are very dissatisfied with Lan Jing Hui, believing that it was all his fault that caused trouble for the class and harmed Fang Hai. Lan Jing Hui went to find Principal Zhang and told him that it was Bi Peng who did it, but he didn't have any evidence. Principal Zhang felt that without evidence, it was just slander. Lan Jing Hui angrily admitted that he was the one who broke the flower pot and stand, and he was willing to take full responsibility and not blame Fang Hai.

When Lan Jing Hui went back to the class to pack up his things and leave, Xiao Xiao Hua grabbed him and cried, hoping that the classmates would all stand up and speak out, believing that this incident was definitely not done by Lan Jing Hui. The classmates also tried to persuade Lan Jing Hui not to leave.
Fang Hai and Principal Zhang then came over and ordered Lan Jing Hui to sit down. Everyone obediently sat down as well. Just as Fang Hai was about to announce something, the broadcast suddenly played the conversation between Lan Jing Hui and Bi Peng, and Bi Peng was publicly criticized by the whole school for this. Lan Jing Hui was punished to go running, and Ling Dong joined him in running. Xiao Xiao Hua, Xia Tian, and Ma Yi Ming also joined in one after another.
Fang Hai and Principal Zhang watched the running students, and the principal hoped to discipline Lan Jing Hui well. Fang Hai felt that there were too many thorns on Lan Jing Hui, and if they were all removed at once, it might backfire.
Lan Jing Hui waited for Ling Dong and compensated him a new book, knowing that Ling Dong had recorded the conversation. But Ling Dong just reminded Lan Jing Hui not to delay his studies, which made Lan Jing Hui want to scold Ling Dong for being arrogant.
When going to school, the classmates all showed kindness to Lan Jing Hui and apologized for the previous misunderstanding. They were very curious to know how he confronted Bi Peng that day, and Lan Jing Hui started boasting, which made the classmates cheer excitedly. Ling Dong stood by listening silently with a smile.
