Episode 22 recap: Xiangliujing and Xiao Yao Meet Again

Episode 22 Xiang Liu finally succeeded in removing the curse from Xi Ling Jiu Yao, though the process was painful. He asked Hao Ling Yi to take care of the unconscious Jiu Yao, and requested the Goddess Mother not to reveal the truth, allowing Jiu Yao to believe she had broken the curse herself. Though a bit puzzled, Hao Ling Yi was moved by Xiang Liu's sincerity and agreed to keep it a secret. Xiang Liu left gratefully, disappearing into the depths of Yushan.

The war was approaching. Xi Yan Qiang Xuan learned from his grandfather that even though Hongjiang and the others were enemies, they should be given due respect and their bodies not desecrated. His grandfather then asked what Qiang Xuan would do if Jiu Yao recovered. Qiang Xuan knew Chen Rong Xin Yue's death was related to Tu Shan Jing, and feared Jiu Yao would be unable to forgive. But he firmly stated he would wait for Jiu Yao to let go of her hatred, no matter how long it took, for they would be together. His grandfather smiled, poured him a cup of truth tea, and continued probing - if Jiu Yao insisted on killing Chen Rong Xin Yue, would Qiang Xuan choose the throne or Jiu Yao? Before Qiang Xuan could respond, an urgent message from Li Rong Chang arrived, startling him.

In Yushan, Jiu Yao wavered, unsure if she should stay with the Goddess Mother. Suddenly, she heard Tu Shan Jing's voice and turned to see him. They embraced tightly, their long wait and pain turning to endless joy. Tu Shan Jing told Jiu Yao he had endured life-and-death trials and returned, never wanting her to face difficulties alone. Using his spiritual powers, he turned Jiu Yao's white hair back to black.

Jiu Yao was moved to tears. She said if Tu Shan Jing had not returned in time, she might have chosen to stay in Yushan. Tu Shan Jing gently comforted her, telling her not to think of killing Chen Rong Xin Yue, as he would handle it in his own way. The two smiled at each other, their bond deepening.

Nearby, Qiang Xuan watched silently, his heart filled with mixed emotions. He understood he could not bring Jiu Yao happiness now, and could only bless her and Tu Shan Jing. With a bitter smile, he turned and left Yushan. Jiu Yao and Tu Shan Jing spent an unforgettable night together in Yushan, relying on and comforting each other.
