Episode 28 recap: Huang Lin Xi Helps Zhang Hai Chao Sell Chips
In episode 28, Ou Yang Zi Xia was furious with Li Dong Sheng and was unwilling to help him propose a collaboration to the company. Li Dong Sheng had brought comprehensive information and attractive cooperation terms, but Ou Yang Zi Xia was skeptical. She called Huang Lin Xi and found out that Jin Wen had actually dumped Li Dong Sheng. Ou Yang Zi Xia was delighted to hear this, and advised Huang Lin Xi not to be alone in Shenzhen. Huang Lin Xi seemed quite happy, saying that Zhang Hai Chao would write her poems to cheer her up, which made Ou Yang Zi Xia envious.
When Ou Yang Zi Xia got home from work, it was just her mother there, as her father had gone out for a business banquet. Her mother was lazily lying on the sofa listening to music and worrying that her father no longer wanted her. Hearing this, Ou Yang Zi Xia got a headache and quickly retreated to her room.
Zhang Hai Chao worked late and didn't get home until very late. His father-in-law had prepared hot congee for him, which warmed his heart.
Zhang Hai Chao was preoccupied with the idea of a dual-SIM, dual-standby phone. Liu Han supported the plan, and they decided to give it their all, aiming to complete the project within 3 months. In the end, they finished the task in just 1 month and even tested it themselves.
When Huang Lin Xi returned from Shenzhen, Ou Yang Zi Xia went to pick her up. Huang Lin Xi had been feeling unwell, so Zhang Hai Chao arranged for Jiang Wei to accompany her to the hospital, while he and Liu Han continued working late. Ou Yang Zi Xia also stayed by Huang Lin Xi's side - the three of them were all extremely busy.
Jiang Wei helped Huang Lin Xi gather a pile of customer information, specifically mentioning that the president of Hai Xiao Niu Communications, Wei, was having an extramarital affair and urgently needed a dual-SIM phone. Huang Lin Xi brought a gift to his office, but was blocked by the security guard.
Ou Yang Zi Xia spoke with Li Dong Sheng, who was still lovesick. Ou Yang Zi Xia advised him to continue collaborating with Zhang Hai Chao, as they made the best partners. Huang Lin Xi staked out the hotel, waiting to finally catch Wei.
Mr. Wei is taking a mistress to a hotel, when Huang Lin Xi directly comes to discuss a business collaboration. At first, Mr. Wei is quite arrogant, saying he never cooperates with domestic chip companies. But Huang Lin Xi launches a fierce attack, even bringing up Mr. Wei's wife, which immediately softens him up.
Later, Mr. Wei reaches out to Zhang Hai Chao for a collaboration. Zhang Hai Chao introduces the product in detail and even brings in a team to verify the performance.
Privately, Mr. Wei complains to Jiang Wei that he was pressured by Huang Lin Xi. Huang Lin Xi overhears this outside and angrily leaves to vent to Xue A Tu.
Zhang Hai Chao takes stomach medicine home for Huang Lin Xi, telling her to rest well.
Huang Lin Xi is utterly dejected, feeling inadequate. But then, Lington Company's dual-SIM dual-standby phone sells extremely well, making a fortune for Mr. Wei, who comes back to collaborate with Zhang Hai Chao and specifically requests Jiang Wei as the contact person.
On the other side, Huang Zhong Kai and Wu Xiao have bribed Huan Shu, intending to tamper with the chips. Huan Shu has bought a big house, but is still coerced by Wu Xiao to agree. Their actions are all caught on camera.
Jason's affair is also exposed, and Huang Lin Xi directly announces his dismissal at the company. Liu Han resigns in protest and confronts Huang Lin Xi.
Zhang Hai Chao rushes in to mediate, temporarily resolving the issue.
Zhang Hai Chao talks to Huan Shu, who admits his mistakes and begs for forgiveness. Ou Yang Zi Xia persuades Huan Shu to voluntarily resign, promising not to make the matter public.
Huang Lin Xi and Liu Han have a huge argument over Jason's affair, with Zhang Hai Chao rushing in again to mediate. This whole saga is truly exhausting.
