Plot Synopsis

During the Baoli era of the Great Tang dynasty, the city of Chang'an was shrouded in dark shadows and strange occurrences were rampant. The Assistant Director of the Supreme Court, Gu Qian Ling, collaborated with the coroner Duan Chao and the guard Yu Hua to investigate a series of bizarre cases, including the "Ghost Drama Child" case, the "Spirit Marriage" case, the "Paper Wife" case, and the "Living Dead" case. However, the mysteries behind these cases were deeply convoluted.

The young and capable county magistrate Gu Qian Ling, the meticulous and truth-seeking coroner Duan Chao, and the lively and skilled illusionist Shang Yu came together through these cases and were unexpectedly embroiled in the sinister schemes of the villain Cui Shen. Gu Qian Ling and Duan Chaopeeled back the layers of theseperplexing cases, solving them one by one. Their initial mutual disdain gradually transformed into mutual support.

The trio faced adversity and trials, transitioning from being at odds to fighting side-by-side. They continued to solve cases,punish the cruel villains, apprehend the true culprits, and safeguard thepeace of the realm.
