Episode 28 recap: Everyone Joins Forces to Take Away Yi Wen Jun
In Episode 28, just as Ye Ding Zhi was about to descend into demonic possession, his master appeared in time and covered Ye Ding Zhi with a large bell, quickly restoring his sanity. However, Yue Qing was also seriously injured. To express his remorse, Ye Ding Zhi took it upon himself to care for Yue Qing, but Yue Qing was unable to drink the medicine on her own. Yue Qing demanded that Ye Ding Zhi feed her the medicine, and though he initially refused, Ye Ding Zhi eventually sat down to feed Yue Qing the medicine, seeing her weak and fragile state.
Ye Ding Zhi still could not stop thinking about Yi Wen Jun, realizing that they were ultimately destined to part ways. Reminiscing about all they had been through, Ye Ding Zhi could not hold back his tears, as he had failed to save her.
Xiao Ruo Jin's main wife had given birth to his sixth child, and the following February, Yi Wen Jun also gave birth to the Seventh Prince, naming him Xiao Yu. Xiao Xie learned that Mr. Li had left the Tianqi City and would not be returning. Xiao Xie couldn't help but worry, as Ye Ding Zhi was still alive and would eventually seek revenge. Of the people who had once helped the emperor build his empire, only the Marquis of the West remained. The Grand Supervisor was also testing Xiao Xie's next course of action, having seen Xiao Xie's fierce ambition.
The Grand Supervisor was bound to pay special attention to Bai Li Dong Jun. Since he could not use Bai Li Dong Jun, he might as well destroy him. After returning from the palace, Xiao Xie was somewhat dazed, then told his subordinates that if this plan succeeded, he might become the emperor, and he was prepared to fight to the death.

The Grand Supervisor was preparing to send the two masters away, and Zhong Fei Zhan told them that this was to help Ye Ding Zhi, as Ye Ding Zhi had a natural warrior's bloodline, and they needed to help him reunite with Yi Wen Jun. They quickly informed the Grand Supervisor of this, and the Grand Supervisor prepared to meet with Zhong Fei Zhan alone, knowing that Zhong Fei Zhan was Wu Xiang's right-hand man, and they reached an agreement.
The Grand Supervisor also told them that perhaps he could help them accomplish this task, since Tian Wai Xian needed his help, and he would certainly do his best. The Grand Supervisor then handed a note to Zhong Fei Zhan, though Zhong Fei Zhan did not understand why the Grand Supervisor would help them so much. The Grand Supervisor simply said that great turmoil was about to engulf the world, and that some things could only be achieved in the midst of chaos.
Yue Qing learned of the Wuxiang Shi's plan, and the Wuxiang Shi wanted to help Ye Ding Zhi, hoping to help Ye Ding Zhi return to the heaven beyond. Yi Wen Jun, even after giving birth to a child, was listless and gloomy all day, and she had chased away most of the maids. Luo Qing Yang learned of this and came to visit Yi Wen Jun, and seeing Yi Wen Jun's melancholy state, said he would go visit the child Xiao Yu.
After visiting the child, Luo Qing Yang was also preparing to leave, when people from the Gongji faction brought some pastries. Luo Qing Yang immediately realized they were not from the palace, and drew his sword. At this point, the others said they were sent by Ye Ding Zhi's will to see Yi Wen Jun. Yi Wen Jun then rushed out from behind the curtain, and the others mentioned the same words Ye Ding Zhi had once said to them, indicating that Ye Ding Zhi's will was waiting for an opportunity.
Luo Qing Yang also hoped Yi Wen Jun could be happy, and then asked if she was willing to leave, to which she agreed. Luo Qing Yang then helped Yi Wen Jun escape.
Soon, Yi's father learned that his daughter had been taken away, so he sent people to kill the group. But the heavenly beyond sect was well-prepared, so Yi's subordinates were no match for them. Yi himself came out to demand Yi Wen Jun return, but this time she refused to listen to her father, and was protected on the way.
Xiao Ruo Jin was very angry to learn that Yi Wen Jun had been taken away, but Xiao Ruo Feng told his brother they could only pretend Yi Wen Jun was sick for now, as Ye Ding Zhi must have powerful backers. Yi then came and said he had a chance to stop Yi Wen Jun but was stopped by two highly skilled fighters, who were the remnants of the North Gate, whose major project was led by Ye Ding Zhi's father. Xiao Ruo Feng then planned to send Lei Meng Sha.
Yue Yao handed the North Gate's techniques to Bai Li Dong Jun, hoping he could rescue her father and escape North Li. Bai Li Dong Jun assured her he would always be by her side no matter what happened.
