Episode 4 recap: Bai Li Dong Jun Drinks Himself into Oblivion, Fails to Recognize an Old Friend

In Episode 4, Bai Li Dong Jun was still puzzling over why Su Chang He and Yue Yao were acting so strangely, without realizing that Yue Yao had already left. After Si Kong Chang Feng woke up, he felt refreshed and energetic. As soon as he got up, he hurried to eat, and the venomous snakes that had saved his life returned to him.

To treat Bai Li Dong Jun's injuries, Si Kong Chang Feng even poisoned Bai Li Dong Jun, hoping that the new herbs would help detoxify him. Bai Li Dong Jun and Si Kong Chang Feng were about to part ways, so Dong Jun gave Si Kong Chang Feng a jug of wine as they bid each other farewell. Dong Jun also pondered whether he too would meet his end on the rivers and lakes. Wen Jiu Hu tried to persuade him not to say such things. Meanwhile, Ye Xiao Fan was woken up by a child to have breakfast, and the child teased him that his lazy habits would make it hard for him to find a wife. Ye Xiao Fan drew his sword, saying he needed to find some proper work to do.

Wen Jiu Hu wanted Bai Li Dong Jun to go back with him, but Dong Jun refused. The Sword Forest was about to open, and Dong Jun also wanted to go see it. He mentioned that his mother had found him a master named Su Mu Qing, but due to his father's constant interference, he had only been taught for three days. Although Dong Jun had never liked practicing martial arts in the past, his recent experiences had made him want to learn swordsmanship again. Wen Jiu Hu brought up Mr. Li, saying that Mr. Li had defeated the previous No. 1 on the martial arts ranking with just one sword.

Dong Jun became curious about sword practice, and Wen Jiu Hu planned to find him a good sword. Ye Xiao Fan was about to leave, and although the child pretended not to care, he was reluctant to see him go, even wanting to introduce his sister to Ye Xiao Fan. But Ye Xiao Fan said he had a fiancée, and he would go find her after he finished his business. The child said Ye Xiao Fan should say goodbye to everyone before leaving, and Ye Xiao Fan said he was going to the Tianqi region to do something big, and maybe he would see his old friends.

In fact, Ye Xiao Fan's real name was Ye Ding Zhi, and after saying goodbye to the child, he left. Wen Jiu Hu took Bai Li Dong Jun to the Sword Forest, where he discovered that everyone, even the dogs, had swords. Wen Jiu Hu told Dong Jun about the Sword Forest, and they just happened to cross paths with Ye Ding Zhi, whose voice sounded familiar to Dong Jun. Everyone arrived at the Sword Forest, which was shrouded in mist.

Wen Jiu Hu told Dong Jun that this was the true Sword Forest. There were two major sword-making sects, one called Jian Xin Zhuo and the other called Ming Jian Mountain Villa. This time, it was Wei Chang Feng from Ming Jian Mountain Villa who was presiding, and everyone wanted to take a sword. As the first round began, Dong Jun said he wanted the best sword. Wang Yi Xing came and said the swords had to be taken by oneself. Wen Jiu Hu thought Dong Jun would return empty-handed, but Dong Jun just kept drinking, and in the end, only the Fire God Sword remained.

Wei Chang Feng drew the Fire God Sword from the ground, and everyone scrambled to grab it. Wang Yi Xing also went to snatch it, while the drowsy Dong Jun mumbled that he wanted to take the next sword, the Heavenly Palace Sword. The people from the Peerless City also wanted to take it, and unexpectedly, Ye Ding Zhi showed up. Dong Jun felt Ye Ding Zhi was familiar, and Ye Ding Zhi also wanted to take the Heavenly Palace Sword. They fought over it, and the Peerless City people lost. Everyone thought Ye Ding Zhi would take the sword, but the drunken Dong Jun staggered over, saying he also wanted to take a sword.

Ye Ding Zhi was surprised to hear Bai Li Dong Jun's name, and Dong Jun didn't even have a sword. Ye Ding Zhi thought Dong Jun was still as absent-minded as before, and fortunately someone had given Dong Jun a sword, though Dong Jun's clothes were still slashed by Ye Ding Zhi. Ye Ding Zhi guessed that Dong Jun would probably still be lazy. Dong Jun recalled the scenes of his master teaching him swordsmanship, and he remembered everything. He said he knew swordplay, and then he took control of all the swords. He imitated his master's techniques, astonishing everyone present. Dong Jun only had the sword, not the song, because the Xichuan sword song had been lost for a long time.

Ye Ding Zhi didn't expect to see such a Bai Li Dong Jun. The two had a hearty drink together on the stage, and then Dong Jun began to sing the sword song.
