Episode 11 recap: Liu Qi Meng Misunderstands That Sun Kai Has a Girlfriend
In Episode 11, Liu Xiu Ying fondly recalls the days when she was sent to the countryside for labor. Back then, there was a young man who took special care of her, always greeting her with a warm smile and even cooking braised pork for her, saying he would do so for the rest of his life. The warmth of those memories has stayed with her.
Meanwhile, Liu Qi Meng is leading the grandmothers in their dance practice on the playground, and the scene is quite lively. However, the young men who are playing soccer keep causing trouble. But the grandmothers are not to be messed with - Grandma Juanzi even kicked the ball straight into the goal, impressing the young men. Liu Qi Meng wants the dance team to achieve good results, so she proposes that everyone buy proper costumes and choreograph a special dance. But some people are not pleased, thinking it's unnecessary trouble, and even someone decides to quit the team because of this.
Wang Yi Ming's wife, Feifei, was accidentally hit by Liu Qi Meng and went to the hospital for a check-up, which showed no serious issues. But Feifei is still not satisfied and insists that Wang Yi Ming fire Liu Qi Meng. Wang Yi Ming, however, believes that Liu Qi Meng is participating in an important project and should not be dismissed, so he asks Zhang You Zhi to go to the hospital to take care of Feifei.
Liu Xiu Ying hears about the problems in Liu Qi Meng's dance team, but she believes Liu Qi Meng will overcome them. Liu Qi Meng doesn't give up either, and she uses her actions to touch the hearts of the team members, ultimately convincing them to stay and learn modern dance together.
Zhang You Zhi and Feifei get scared and run out of the hospital, as it turns out that Liu Xiu Ying was behind some shenanigans. At the hospital, Liu Xiu Ying runs into Sun Kai, who tells her that his grandfather loves braised pork, so she decides to go home and cook some for him.
At home, Liu Qi Meng is practicing street dance, and Sun Kai, curious, asks her about her father. Liu Qi Meng is a bit flustered at first, but quickly corrects herself.
The braised pork that Liu Xiu Ying made is sure to please Sun Kai's grandfather. Although Sun Kai usually doesn't eat spicy hot pot, he compromises for his grandfather's sake and ends up enjoying the dish. Sun Kai then receives an urgent call from the hospital and has to leave quickly, so Liu Xiu Ying asks Liu Qi Meng to take the braised pork to the hospital.
On the way to the hospital, Sun Kai suddenly remembers a childhood pact he made with his friends. Liu Qi Meng curiously asks him if he has a girlfriend, and Sun Kai says he has someone he likes in his heart, which leaves Liu Qi Meng a bit saddened.
When Liu Qi Meng returns home, her grandmother notices that she might be interested in Sun Kai, but Liu Qi Meng thinks they have no chance. Liu Xiu Ying doesn't directly comfort her, but instead helps her dry her rain-soaked hair, quietly supporting her in this way.
