Episode 19 recap: Liu Qi Meng and Liu Xiu Ying's Bodies Switch Back

In episode 19, when Liu Qi Meng was little, she loved to play hide-and-seek with her mom. But one time, her mom hid too well and snuck away with her suitcase. Little Qi Meng hid under the table, watching her mom walk farther and farther away, crying like a little kitten, but she was too scared to chase after her. When grandma came home and couldn't find mom, she just saw a note left behind. Panicked, she searched everywhere and finally found the sleeping Qi Meng under the table, feeling so heartbroken.

Fast forward to the present day - Ah Fang and Liu Qi Meng woke up to find Old Wang was gone, and to make matters worse, they were wearing those silly blue wigs that just made them look ridiculous. But Old Wang seemed to find it pretty funny, saying the wigs would make performing on stage a lot easier. The competition was lively, with each team pulling out all the stops, leaving the audience and judges wide-eyed.

When it was the 50,000 person dance troupe's turn, those five old ladies were really bringing it. But Ah Fang and Qi Meng's wigs just wouldn't cooperate - they fell off embarrassingly, exposing their true blue hair, and the dance fell apart. They ended up coming in second-to-last. Their teammates were so disappointed, feeling they had neglected their family for the sake of the dance.

Qi Meng was wracked with guilt, but luckily Liu Xiu Ying and Sun Kai were there to comfort her and even offer to take her out for hot pot. But just as they were happily enjoying the hot pot, Sun Kai got a call that his grandpa had gone missing. Without hesitation, the three braved the rain to go search, eventually finding the grandpa on a bridge. But Qi Meng accidentally fell and passed out.

In her hazy state, she seemed to recall a birthday with her dad, happily cutting the cake, before he got called away by grandma's phone. When she woke up, she found herself in the hospital - and to her amazement, she and her grandma had switched bodies back! Overjoyed, she rushed to find her grandma. At the hospital, she learned that Sun Kai had known all along about their body swap. Feeling conflicted - surprised and embarrassed - she quietly slipped away.

On her way home, Qi Meng ran into Aunt Yue'e and An Ning closing up shop, and she witnessed An Ning confessing his feelings to her mom, which warmed Qi Meng's heart. Reflecting on the days she had shared with her grandma, though lacking her parents' presence and sometimes facing ridicule, she realized the selfless love and companionship her grandma had provided.

Meanwhile, Grandpa Yu Changjiang had fallen ill, worrying all the neighbors. They learned he had been hoping to attend Liu Xiu Ying's performance, but had suddenly fallen ill while waiting for Old Wang. Qi Meng was concerned, but with her grandma still unconscious, she couldn't leave. The neighbors arranged to take turns caring for the two elders.

At the hospital, when Grandpa Yu heard about Liu Xiu Ying's condition, he grew frantic, but the ICU rules prevented him from doing anything but pray silently by the door. He lamented how quickly time passes, hoping everyone could cherish the people around them. Old Wang also reflected that the elderly are like the setting sun, and being together is the greatest joy. Hearing these words, Qi Meng understood - no matter how life changes, the love and companionship of family is the most precious thing.
