Episode 5 recap: Liu Xiu Ying Helps Liu Qi Meng Pursue Sun Kai
In Episode 5, Liu Qi Meng accidentally runs into Sun Kai at the supermarket. To avoid being recognized, she wears a monkey mask, which attracts the curiosity of those around her. Liu Qi Meng asks Liu Xiu Ying to submit the hastily revised script to Sun Bai Fen, but Sun Bai Fen's cold attitude leaves Liu Qi Meng feeling that she is unsociable.
Outside the company, Liu Xiu Ying tries to greet the CEO but is ignored, which makes her lament the lack of human touch in big corporations.
When An Ning and her mother are selling goods on the street, they are harassed by a past debtor. The neighbors come to their aid, but Liu Xiu Ying chooses to call the police, surprising everyone.

Liu Xiu Ying gives Sun Bai Fen Liu Qi Meng's original artwork. Although Sun Bai Fen is initially unwilling to look at it, she ends up approving it under Liu Xiu Ying's "threat".
The neighbors feel sympathetic towards An Ning and her mother, and also find Liu Xiu Ying and Liu Qi Meng to be a low-maintenance pair. However, An Ning's carelessness causes a fire, which Liu Qi Meng quickly extinguishes using a fish tank, but the family's pet turtle is missing, leaving Liu Qi Meng deeply upset.

When An Ning visits Liu Xiu Ying's home, she mistakenly takes Liu Qi Meng's phone and causes chaos in the work group, even sending a love message to the CEO, leading to misunderstandings and dissatisfaction.
