Episode 6 recap: Liu Xiu Ying Studies English to Pass the Evaluation
In Episode 6, General Manager Wang was initially a bit angry, but after Liu Qi Meng proactively went to his office and gave him the homemade hot pot base she made, Wang smelled how authentic it was and his anger dissipated. He even gave Liu Xiu Ying some money, wanting to dispel the improper practice of gift-giving.
Grandson Kai went to visit his grandfather in the hospital, and found his grandfather was in a bad mood, but as soon as Kai arrived, his grandfather calmed down.
Kai left the hospital hugging his grandfather, and everyone praised him for being filial.
When Liu Xiu Ying returned home, she told Liu Qi Meng that the general manager had given her money, but Liu Qi Meng felt they shouldn't accept it. Just then, An Ning accidentally threw Liu Qi Meng's phone into the hot pot, which made Liu Xiu Ying very angry.
However, An Ning realized that Liu Qi Meng was actually Liu Xiu Ying, and Liu Xiu Ying was Liu Qi Meng. When he went home, he told Auntie Yue about this, but she didn't take it seriously.
The company was conducting on-site evaluations, and the examiner was Sun Bai Fen.
Liu Xiu Ying was a bit worried, but her strong-willed personality made her decide not to give up. She noticed that Sun Bai Fen had a stiff neck, so she helped arrange some religious statues and decor in the office, which greatly startled Sun Bai Fen. Liu Xiu Ying couldn't understand English, so when she went home and told Liu Qi Meng, Liu Qi Meng felt that Sun Bai Fen was forcing her out of the company. But Liu Xiu Ying didn't want to compromise, and decided to work hard to learn and stay. Liu Qi Meng even taught their grandmother computer knowledge.
When Liu Xiu Ying saw Sun Bai Fen sleeping at the office, she used needle and thread to sew up her exposed midriff outfit. Sun Bai Fen got very angry and chased Liu Xiu Ying out. But Liu Xiu Ying didn't give up, and continued to diligently study English to pass the evaluation.
After a few days of studying, Liu Xiu Ying felt she had improved, and wanted to report to Liu Qi Meng, but her pronunciation was still off and her drawing skills were poor. Liu Qi Meng felt it was hopeless and wanted to give up on the evaluation, but Liu Xiu Ying thought her drawings were as good as Picasso's, and that someone would appreciate them.
The two got into an argument, both wanting to switch back bodies but unable to. Their neighbor invited them to watch a movie together to ease the tension, and the two accepted the invitation in each other's bodies, even confessing their feelings at the theater, until a scene of someone falling from a high place made them suddenly want to switch back bodies.
