Episode 11 recap: Xie Shi and Xu Mu Get Married in a Fit of Pique
In episode 11, Song Nian Nian overhears Xu Mu talking about Zhang Yao in a way that suggests Xu Mu has feelings for him. Shen Yi quickly informs Xie Shi about this. While Xie Shi is initially irritated, he is relieved to learn that Xu Mu rejected Zhang Yao. Xie Shi contemplates how to approach Xu Mu, given their ambiguous relationship.
Meanwhile, Xu Mu's coworkers spread a rumor that Xie Shi is engaged to Qiao Nan. When Xu Mu accidentally burns her hand at work, Song Nian Nian invites her to dinner, but Xie Shi does not show up. Shen Yi wants to call Xie Shi, and Song Nian Nian learns from Xu Mu that the rumor is about Xie Shi's engagement.
On the day of Xu Mu's blind date, she is surprised to find that her date is actually Xie Shi. They realize the engagement rumor was about someone else, and Xie Shi directly invites Xu Mu to get married the next day. Xu Mu is caught off guard by this sudden turn of events, but agrees, and they get married.
The next day, Xu Mu shares the news with Song Nian Nian, but a new problem arises - where will they sleep? Xie Shi discovers that Xu Mu's bed is wet from a puppy, and Xu Mu misunderstands his intention to change the sheets.
The following morning, Xie Shi takes Xu Mu to work, and her coworkers misinterpret their interaction as a kiss, spreading the news in the group chat. Meanwhile, Zhang Yao decides to leave, donating all his paintings except the one related to Xu Mu.
After Zhang Yao's departure, Fang Jingjing also suddenly resigns, revealing that she was behind the previous chaos. On the home front, Song Nian Nian's mother falls ill, and Shen Yi diligently cares for her. When the mother recovers, Song Nian Nian is touched by Shen Yi's dedication and proposes marriage to him.
