Episode 8 recap: Ji Yu Heng's Confession Comes a Little Late
In Episode 8, Ji Yu Heng really knew how to work a room at the dinner party. As soon as he arrived, the atmosphere quickly went from chilly to warm and lively. With Ji Yu Heng's help, Zhao Fang Gang was chatting and laughing with the clients like old friends. Tu Xiao Ning watched in admiration, impressed by Ji Yu Heng's intelligence and thoughtfulness.
Rao Jing also praised Ji Yu Heng's excellent social skills, and the four of them soon felt like long-time acquaintances. As the drinks flowed, Ji Yu Heng and Rao Jing got a bit tipsy, but Zhao Fang Gang stepped up to protect Rao Jing.

The next day, Tu Xiao Ning found a bouquet of flowers on her desk, instantly knowing they were from Ji Yu Heng. She excitedly shared the news with her coworker Ling Wei Yi, who was dealing with her own romantic troubles involving Qi Yu and Qi Yuhang. Later, Tu Xiao Ning learned the flowers were actually from Lu Si Jing, a pleasant surprise. Meanwhile, Ji Yu Heng was at home preparing a barbecue for Tu Xiao Ning's return. During the meal, he casually mentioned the flowers, a bit wistful about the fact that Lu Si Jing had beaten him to confessing on Tu Xiao Ning's birthday. Ji Yu Heng also helped Zhao Fang Gang resolve a major bad loan issue, earning Zhao Fang Gang's deep respect. While getting their nails done, Tu Xiao Ning and Ling Wei Yi gushed about Ji Yu Heng, and Ling Wei Yi shared the amusing story of Qi Yu pursuing her. Just then, Ji Yu Heng arrived to pick up Tu Xiao Ning, running into Lu Si Jing and Qi Yu, creating a slightly awkward atmosphere. But Ji Yu Heng handled it gracefully, greeting them politely and displaying true gentlemanly poise.
