Episode 10 recap: Conflict Between Two Tribes
In episode 10, Wai's father and his group chase after the Wisan tribe members, leading to a confrontation. Li Zhang Huan and his group are feeling very cold, but Nora brings them a fire pit, which makes them feel much better. Li Zhang Huan is surprised to hear the war song of his own tribe, unsure of what's happening.
Wai states that the Wisan tribe members have captured his father, and he wants to lead a group to rescue him. Li Zhang Huan tries to stop Wai from acting rashly. But Wai says this is not just an impulsive action, it's about the pride of his Nika La tribe, so he must go. Wai takes his group over, and Wai's father is eventually returned, but he is injured.
Li Zhang Huan examines Wai's father and finds he has a fever. He quickly gets the medicine pack that Li Zhi Wei provided and gives Wai's father some fever-reducing and anti-inflammatory pills. Zheng Wei Long calls Zhao Qi Feng to report the situation, and they realize it's not feasible to take Wai's father to the hospital right now, so they'll have to wait for the medical team to come.
Zhao Qi Feng knows about the incident and quickly calls his supervisor, who instructs him to go check on the situation and report back. Li Zhi Wei, who is at the airport, calls Zhao Qi Feng, thinking he was the supervisor. She expresses her urgency to get there, and Zhao Qi Feng tells her he'll come pick her up.
Many people gather around, and Li Zhang Huan warns them that this is a protected area, and there will be serious consequences if they try to enter. The people were about to leave, but then they hear Wai's father's voice and gather around again. Wai brings his group, and they are outnumbered, so they have to put down their weapons. Li Zhang Huan says he won't allow any harm, and they can leave, but Wai disagrees. Li Zhang Huan states that even though he doesn't control what's happening outside, this is the fungus base, and he gets to decide what happens here, so Wai has to let them go.
Zheng Wei Long found the doctor and they rushed back, but on the way they were captured by the Wisan tribe members. The chief of the Wisan tribe wanted to use them for negotiation. The medical team's Old Zhou brought people to help, and when they learned that Zheng Wei Long and the doctor hadn't returned yet, Li Zhang Huan felt something must have gone wrong.
Wai brought his people over, and the Wisan tribe chief said that if Wai admits defeat for his tribe, pays a 5000 Gina compensation, then he'll release the captives. Wai returned and said there's no way he would declare defeat. Li Zhang Huan decided to go over and trade himself for their release.
When Li Zhang Huan arrived at the Wisan tribe, their chief told him to take his people and leave immediately, or they'd have to stay there forever. Li Zhang Huan said he came to help them, but the chief responded that he only helped the Nika La tribe. He would never agree to the Nika La tribe becoming stronger, as they wouldn't share the technology with them. The Wisan chief's men then captured Li Zhang Huan and his group.
Zhao Qi Feng picked up Li Zhi Wei, and she wanted to go to where Li Zhang Huan was, but Zhao Qi Feng said it was too dangerous there, so he'd take her to a safer place instead.
Zhao Qi Feng went to find the police chief, requesting they protect the Chinese team's safety, but the chief said he couldn't act without orders from the director. Li Zhi Wei asked how much money was needed, offering to pay, but Zhao Qi Feng said this was a diplomatic matter, not a business transaction.
The police chief then received a call and quickly left with his people. Zhao Qi Feng said this was the real way to solve the problem.
