Episode 3 recap: Li Chang An Organizes a Team to Go Abroad

In episode 3, Li Chang An decided he wants to go abroad. Li Zhang Huan discussed who they should take with them, and Chang An thought Zheng Wei Long would be a good fit, but Chang An said Wei Long had to stay and manage things at the office. Chang Huan said the situation in Xinjiang had stabilized, so they could have Hu Yuan come back to watch over things there, and he also recruited Li Han to go with them.

Li Han originally didn't want to go, worried about being away from his girlfriend for too long, but Chang Huan convinced him by saying they could make a lot of money, so he agreed to go.

On Wei Long's side, his mother was using his documents to make paper airplanes for the kids, which really upset Wei Long and he scolded his son. His mother then criticized him for being too strict and not spending enough time with his child. Wei Long told her he might have to go abroad, and she was very supportive, saying she could take care of the home and the kid.

Li Chun Hua also came to Chang Huan asking to be included, and Chang Huan thought Chun Hua was a bit impulsive, so he cautioned him about being mindful of his behavior abroad. But ultimately Chang Huan agreed, and Chun Hua was thrilled. However, Chang An had doubts about Chun Hua's suitability, but Chang Huan said that although Chun Hua could be a bit clever, he had been one of the first to sign up when the grass planting program started, and he was a decent guy overall.

Chun Hua's girlfriend was initially against him going so far away, but he convinced her that going abroad would allow him to become an expert and look great on his resume, so she agreed.

Chang Huan took his family out for a fun trip and took photos of them. He saw a camera he really liked but decided it was too expensive to buy.

As they were discussing the trip abroad, they suddenly got a call that the boiler had exploded and Chang An was injured. Everyone was very worried, and Chang An was still trying to cultivate more microbes. He didn't make it, and his wife was inconsolable.

The leader spoke with Chang Huan, saying the overseas assistance mission couldn't be stopped. After thinking it over, Chang Huan decided he would go himself. The leader reminded him that Bama La would be very different from China, and he would need to be mentally prepared.

When Chang Huan told his family he was going to Bama La, they all objected. His daughter Zhi Wei said he should spend more time with the family. Just then, representatives from the poverty alleviation region came for a meeting, heard about Chang An's passing, and brought local produce to pay their respects, which touched Zhi Wei.

The leader pressed Chang Huan to quickly assemble his team, and he said Wei Long could join. Zhi Wei went back to Singapore first, and even bought the camera Chang Huan had been eyeing. Chang Huan's wife made taro buns for him to bring to Zhi Wei to eat on the trip.
