Episode 12 recap: Lin Qiang Prepares the Dragon Source Branch
In episode 12, Yuan Guan Kui was like a man possessed, brimming with energy every day at the office. His eyes shone with excitement as he spun vivid tales for the customers. Xiao Xiao noticed this and told Zhang Jia Ming, "Let's transfer Yuan Guan Kui to the teller counter - maybe he can liven up the atmosphere around here."
Zhang Jia Ming took the suggestion and made the move. To everyone's surprise, Yuan Guan Kui adapted seamlessly, working tirelessly like a tireless little bee. He handled transactions quickly and efficiently, and became fast friends with the female tellers. His constant cheerfulness and playful banter created a wonderfully lively environment.
While Zhang Jia Ming had hoped the job change would address the issue, he now found himself having to be polite and deferential towards Yuan Guan Kui. Zheng Shuai watched this with quiet exasperation.
Zheng Shuai called Yuan Guan Kui into his office and gently advised him that teller work required professionalism, not too much informality. But Yuan Guan Kui simply let the feedback go in one ear and out the other, maintaining his carefree attitude.
At this time, Zhu Feng Shan and the others were busy finding a location for the Dragon Source branch. Qin Zheng even suggested letting Yuan Guan Kui handle the renovations, saying he had lots of good ideas.
Sure enough, once Yuan Guan Kui got involved, the Dragon Source branch was buzzing with activity and business was booming. The female tellers, though busy, were thrilled.
Later, everyone learned that Yuan Guan Kui had a banking background, which only increased their admiration for him. Zheng Shuai worried the tellers were being led astray, but Xiao Xiao and the others just teased him for being jealous.
During meals, the tellers competed to serve Yuan Guan Kui tea and water, and even the usually stern Zheng Shuai smiled warmly at him, giving him special attention.
Over on Lin Qiang's side, with Chen Xing Yuan's support, he had recruited over a dozen top talents from Lianzhong Bank. Lin Qiang felt both excited and apprehensive about this, but Xia Xin advised him to just focus on doing a good job.
Chen Xing Yuan had high hopes for Lin Qiang. He directly pulled him into the office to discuss developing the Dragon Source branch into a full-fledged sub-branch. Lin Qiang was overjoyed to hear this.
However, Chen Xing Yuan was curious about how Lin Qiang dared challenge authority, suspecting he had someone backing him. Lin Qiang could only give a wry smile, saying he was just trying to protect himself.

Through Mo Xi Jun's connections at Hua Yu Bank, they traced the money back to an overseas island. Hearing this, Lin Qiang decided to personally investigate at Zhang Baoshu's home.
Yuan Guan Kui's arrival had not only liven up the Dragon Source branch, but also fattened everyone's wallets. However, with the increased business came new problems. Xiao Xiao and the others had incurred debts from secretly selling credit cards, and were in a panic as the head office audit approached. At the critical moment, Yuan Guan Kui stepped in with his silver tongue and bought them some time.
Sadly, this good fortune did not last, as Yuan Guan Kui was eventually transferred out for undisclosed reasons, much to Lin Qiang's regret.
Yuan Guan Kui decided to find out who had reported Lin Qiang, but Lin Qiang advised him to let it go. Meanwhile, Hao Wei and Qian Bo had colluded together, plotting to take action against Lin Qiang. A silent war was quietly beginning.
