Episode 14 recap: Lin Qiang and Hao Wei Ming's Covert Clash

In episode 14, Lin Qiang was captivated by the beauty of the sunrise and led the group to camp by the seaside. However, Zhang Jia Ming unexpectedly barged into Lin Qiang and Zheng Shuai's tent, much to the concern of Lin Xiao Zao, Lin Qiang's friend. This was supposed to be the perfect opportunity for the shy Lin Xiao Zao to confess her feelings to Lin Qiang, but she ended up swallowing her words, her face flushed with embarrassment.

Zhang Jia Ming, on the other hand, was overly enthusiastic, advising Lin Qiang to leverage his connections with the bank's leadership to avoid causing trouble for the team. Hearing this, Zheng Shuai flew into a rage and gave Zhang Jia Ming a stern "lesson," forcing him to slink away.

Zheng Shuai complained that Lin Qiang was too soft-hearted in taking in Zhang Jia Ming, this "troublemaker." In reality, Lin Qiang knew that Zhang Jia Ming was about to be promoted as the deputy branch manager of the Longyuan Central Branch, so he intentionally gave him the Wenxiu Group's information, hoping to help him and keep a backup plan for himself.

Sitting alone by the campfire, Zhang Jia Ming looked dejected. Seeing this, Lin Qiang came to comfort him, telling him not to take it personally. Zhang Jia Ming was deeply grateful and pledged his loyalty to Lin Qiang, believing he could help him win. At this point, Xiao Shao and Lin Xiao Zao joined the conversation, voicing their support for Lin Qiang and saying he would not give up easily.

Inspired by the trust placed in him, Lin Qiang vowed to fight Hao Wei to the end, eliciting cheers from the group.

The grand opening of the Longyuan Central Branch was a lively affair. Hao Wei not only organized a grand ceremony but also launched a promotion offering home appliances for new deposits, attracting a large crowd of elderly customers.

Seeing this, Zheng Shuai was anxious and wanted to confront Yuan Guan Kui, but was warned not to make any reckless moves, as Hao Wei had people secretly monitoring the situation. Reluctantly, Zheng Shuai turned to Lin Qiang for help. Although "battling" in the restroom, Lin Qiang remained calm and assured.

The police arrived after being called, ordering Yuan Guan Kui to remove the obstructing advertisement boards. Zheng Shuai understood that Lin Qiang had secretly helped them.

Afterwards, Lin Qiang approached Zhu Feng Shan to vent his frustrations, saying that Chen Xing Yuan was deliberately obstructing him, trying to back him into a corner. He asked Zhu Feng Shan to convey a message to Chen Xing Yuan - if the issue was not resolved within two days, he would admit defeat and relinquish the Longyuan branch.

Attracted by the prizes offered at the competing branch, customers were flocking to withdraw and redeposit their funds, leading to a severe loss of capital at the Longyuan branch. Lin Qiang called upon Mo Xi Jun, hoping to leverage her help, but unexpectedly learned about several foreign-funded projects instead.

Lin Qiang decided to collaborate with Flower Feather Bank, and Mo Xi Jun agreed to help make the connections. Although Zheng Shuai was troubled by the mass withdrawals by individual customers, he saw hope under Lin Qiang's encouragement and resolved to go all-in.

Zhu Feng Shan worked hard to secure project support for Lin Qiang, but Chen Xing Yuan remained reserved. Zhu Feng Shan then helped Lin Qiang connect with major clients and loan projects, for which Lin Qiang was deeply grateful. Facing Yuan Guan Kui's attempts to lure him away, Zheng Shuai firmly refused, stating that he would stick with Lin Qiang through thick and thin.

The rush of individual customers to withdraw money continued until closing time, draining a substantial amount of funds. Zheng Shuai had the tellers work overtime to handle the situation, but the outlook remained dire. Zhu Feng Shan continued to hustle on Lin Qiang's behalf, trying to secure a big deal to provide emergency relief. Lin Qiang, however, insisted on not raising interest rates and instead encouraged customers to deposit their money at the competing branch, a display of confidence and courage that left Zheng Shuai both exasperated and admiring.

In this bloodless battle, Lin Qiang and his team were using their wisdom and bravery to write their own legendary story.
