Episode 6 recap: # Principal Zhong Resigns
In the latest episode, a viral video has stirred up significant controversy, prompting the education bureau to send inspectors to investigate the school. Zhou Sheng Jie has tirelessly defended Principal Zhong, but the situation is dire, and the bureau demands clear results. Although everyone knows that Principal Zhong is a good teacher, a reasonable resolution is essential in the face of public opinion.
After much discussion, the group decides that Principal Zhong should personally write an apology letter to post online to calm the situation. An Yan feels uneasy, believing her poor management led to the principal's predicament. Zhou Sheng Jie understands Zhong's frustrations, but they must address the problem to prevent it from escalating further.
An Yan also suggests that Cong Jun Sheng reach out to Li Yanjun's parents in hopes of gaining their understanding. However, Li Yanjun's mother is upset about her son being hit, while his father feels sad about Principal Zhong facing disciplinary action. At this point, An Yan and Zhou Sheng Jie muster the courage to stop Director Wang, hoping to help write the apology letter, but their efforts fail.
Luo Xiaoxian wants to apologize to Principal Zhong and clarify the facts, but unfortunately, she can't meet him. Feeling the weight of his imminent retirement and unwilling to leave a tarnished legacy, Principal Zhong voluntarily resigns, publicly declaring it a resignation in disgrace. This decision deeply saddens An Yan, Zhou Sheng Jie, and many other teachers.
After submitting his resignation letter, Principal Zhong insists on guiding students upstairs one last time, displaying his dedication and moving An Yan deeply. While cleaning out his office, he leaves behind only a stick, his eyes filled with affection for the school. As he departs, many teachers, students, and parents gather to bid him farewell, creating an emotional scene.
Li Yanjun's family comes to say goodbye with mixed feelings. Although they are reluctant to see him go, Principal Zhong believes his departure will encourage Li Yanjun and all students to pay more attention to personal hygiene, which he considers a valuable lesson.
However, following Principal Zhong's departure, the school faces another crisis when a wall collapses, injuring a student. Director Wang is furious, and An Yan feels unjustly blamed, as they had implemented preventive measures but the incident occurred due to a student's unauthorized entry. A budget shortfall only adds to the teachers' difficulties.
As everyone gathers at the site of the collapsed wall, they are surprised to see the vice principal already beginning repairs. The group joins in, including former student Tang Ruian. Despite losing both hands while working, Tang's resilience inspires An Yan greatly.
When An Yan learns that Tang and other students' families need help planting rice, she leads the students in action, creating some of the most cherished memories of their time together. Reflecting on the humble bathing area, An Yan moves from disbelief to acceptance, recognizing that these experiences are part of growth. Although the recent turmoil posed challenges for the school, it ultimately strengthened the bond between teachers and students, allowing them to face difficulties together and create unforgettable moments.
