Episode 3 recap: Crisis in a Stable Situation

In Episode 3, Shen Lin drives the new car that Na Wei bought to a class reunion, feeling quite impressive. Old classmates greet each other with pleasantries, exchanging compliments while wearing forced smiles. Li Xiao Yue and Na Juan go camping together; Li Xiao Yue enjoys taking photos as they walk, while Na Juan tends to worry and plan everything.

At the reunion, male classmate Lao Sun jokingly tells Tian Yi Meng to hurry up and find a husband, suggesting that no matter how ambitious a woman is, she will eventually return to family life. Tian Yi Meng deflects, claiming she can't find anyone, not because her standards are too high. Lao Sun, encouraged, rambles on, leaving Tian Yi Meng feeling a bit embarrassed. Seeing this, Shen Lin changes the subject, finally making the annoying men leave.

Tian Yi Meng starts to complain but subtly belittles homemakers in her comments. Shen Lin, the only homemaker present, is understandably offended. Maintaining her composure, Shen Lin calmly explains that both career-driven women and homemakers contribute equally and are not comparable. Tian Yi Meng disagrees and tries to persuade Shen Lin otherwise. Shen Lin playfully counters her arguments, asking how her advice differs from what Lao Sun said earlier. Just as it looks like they might argue, other classmates quickly intervene to diffuse the tension. Na Juan agrees to let Li Xiao Yue consider a job at Na Wei's company, and Li Xiao Yue says she'll think about it.

Later, Shen Lin returns home and vents to Na Wei about Tian Yi Meng's comments. Na Wei thoughtfully analyzes the situation, concluding that Tian Yi Meng's words stem from jealousy. That night, while camping, a meteor shower occurs; Li Xiao Yue finds it beautiful, but to her, seeing it early or late makes little difference.

After the break, Li Xiao Yue joins a beauty company, quickly attracting attention from her colleagues, including a guy named Cui Yang, who takes the initiative to chat with her. Na Wei can't reveal that Li Xiao Yue is his brother Na Juan's girlfriend, so he finds another way to steer Cui Yang away.

Li Xiao Yue, with her background in planning, requests Na Wei to let her handle the housewarming and Xi Xuan's first birthday party. Na Wei agrees, saying the more lively, the better, with a budget of 50,000 yuan. On the appointed day, Na Wei, along with Shen Lin and the two kids, go back to Shen's village.

The housewarming and birthday celebrations are lively. Relatives urge Shen Lei and Xie Mei Lan to have kids soon, to which Shen Lei jokingly replies that he enjoys the peace and doesn't have money for children. As the child participates in the traditional "grabbing the first item" ceremony, Na Wei receives a call about a major issue involving Wang Zhi.

Wang Zhi has suddenly decided to leave everything behind to become a monk, and his wife, Qin Ling Ling, along with Na Wei and others, drive over to persuade him. Despite Qin Ling Ling's emotional pleas, nothing seems to work. Wang Zhi had been recommended this place by Na Wei when he was dealing with depression. Now, he is determined to leave behind both his company and family, and Qin Ling Ling and her brother blame Na Wei for this situation.

As the family members pull Qin Ling Ling away, Na Wei sees Wang Zhi's expression and realizes he is serious about his decision to renounce everything. Once everyone learns that Wang Zhi has entered the mountains to meditate, Shen Lin calls Na Juan and Li Xiao Yue over to discuss how to support Na Wei.

Na Juan clearly points out that once the boss is gone, Qin Ling Ling will likely reorganize the management team. The beauty company's Series A funding is bound to fall through. Although Na Wei has been with the company for a long time, he could still be at risk of being cut. Na Juan argues that the current need is for versatile talent; those with a narrow skill set will be left behind in this changing era.

Shen Lin and Li Xiao Yue remain silent, as Na Juan's words strike a nerve.
