Episode 3 recap: # Su Li's Plan to Transfer Marital Assets
In Episode 3, Su Li waits outside and sees the police take Chen Yingying and Zhang Shuheng away. This reminds her of a previous incident where Zhang Shuheng took a picture of her and suddenly jumped off, startling her. To her surprise, he was downstairs with flowers and a ring, proposing to her. The crowd nearby encouraged her to accept, and Su Li, feeling happy, agreed.
During police questioning, Zhang Shuheng claims that they weren't engaging in prostitution, but merely having an affair. When he returns home, Su Li is still asleep, and he doesn't suspect anything. Chen Yingying calls Zhang Shuheng, but he ignores her, leaving her frustrated that he won't answer as soon as he gets home. The next day, Su Li brandishes a knife, startling Zhang Shuheng.
Su Li jokingly says she needs inspiration for her new script. She asks Zhang Shuheng about Chen Yingying, to which he replies that he doesn't know her well. When Su Li clarifies she meant her acting skills, Zhang Shuheng mentions he's heard she’s quite talented. Su Li then suggests they have Chen Yingying audition.
When Chen Yingying arrives for her audition, Su Li pretends to be very friendly with her, which annoys the other auditioners, who refuse to act with Chen Yingying. During their scene together, Su Li deliberately slaps Chen Yingying a few times, claiming she's helping her find her character. Later, the police summon Su Li, and she admits to making a false report.
Due to the minor nature of the offense, she only has to pay a fine. Su Li then thanks Wang Ganggang for sending her a message, saying she's the only one who helped her see through the lies. Wang Ganggang explains she just wants to prevent Su Li from being deceived.
Su Li consults a lawyer, who informs her that Zhang Shuheng has lost money on investments over the years and has little to no assets. The lawyer explains that while Su Li would typically be entitled to half of Zhang Shuheng's assets in a divorce, she can transfer some assets first.
Su Li arranges for Zhang Shuheng and Chen Yingying's hotel stay to trend on social media. Zhang Shuheng meets up with Chen Yingying, and they get intimate. He later receives a text demanding 5 million, but both he and Chen Yingying are broke, forcing him to ask Su Li for help. She transfers the money to him.
However, the request is for cash. Zhang Shuheng goes to withdraw it and leaves the bag at the meeting spot. To his surprise, a cleaner arrives instead, and the money disappears. It turns out Su Li, disguised as a security officer, secretly swapped the bag while he was going through security. When Wang Ganggang asks Su Li why she did this, Su Li explains that the 5 million was originally theirs, but now it belongs solely to her.
