Episode 1 recap: # Han Zi Qing Framed by Han Xi Er

In Episode 1, at the border of Country M, Han Zi Qing and her team are searching for biological resources when they accidentally encounter a large snake, causing them to be extra cautious. Later, as the signal strengthens, they discover a cave. Han Zi Qing decides to venture inside alone and finds a dagger. The moment she opens it, a flash of light blinds her, and she collapses.

When Han Zi Qing regains consciousness, she finds herself surrounded by a group of people in ancient costumes. A woman rushes over, scolding her for dressing too casually and trying to take her away. Confused, Han Zi Qing manages to send them away. Then someone splashes water on her face, and she suddenly remembers that she brought Han Xi Er back to her room last night before passing out.

Thinking it might be a dream, she decides not to let anyone take advantage of her. She quickly strips the woman of her clothes and puts them on, insisting on taking her to see Han Xi Er.

At the gate of the residence, Han Xi Er hears the commotion but, fearing it will disrupt the selection of brides, refuses to let anyone in. Han Zi Qing, undeterred, shouts that if Han Xi Er comes out, everything will be clarified. Just then, her father arrives and asks her to let the woman go, saying it looks bad. Han Zi Qing ignores him, and when he tries to whip her, she grabs the whip in defiance, insisting on seeing Han Xi Er. Eventually, Han Xi Er is called out but pretends to know nothing, blaming Han Zi Qing instead.

At this moment, the innkeeper rushes out, revealing that a young man named Chen insisted on entering a room last night and mistakenly threw Han Zi Qing out, thinking she was someone else. Chen then steps forward to apologize and offers to marry Han Zi Qing. However, Han Zi Qing feels something is off since the man she met last night was not this one. Her father dismisses the onlookers, but they start questioning why Han Zi Qing, who was poisoned, seems unharmed, deciding to investigate her.

Looking at the two kneeling in front of her, Han Zi Qing declares she is hungry and wants to eat. Her father keeps asking what happened, but she remains silent. The woman tries to arrange a marriage between her and Chen, but Han Zi Qing flatly refuses. Remembering the woman's past actions alongside Han Xi Er, she resolves to take control of her own fate.

Han Xi Er pours her tea, asking for forgiveness, but Han Zi Qing deliberately spills it on the floor. When she returns to her room, she passes a luxurious house, only to learn from her maid, Yun Xi, that the dilapidated one next door is actually hers. Shocked, she realizes Yun Xi might be the only one who truly cares for her.

In her room, she finds some childhood mementos and recalls that her mother's box contained a dagger just like the one she saw, but when she opens it, it's empty. Yun Xi brings her some noodles to eat.

Everyone is waiting for the Fourth Prince, but only the Second Prince knows he can't come due to being poisoned. Surprisingly, the Fourth Prince appears unharmed, leaving the Second Prince and his mother puzzled about the situation.

At that moment, a girl arrives with news that there’s a spectacle at the residence gate, claiming that Han Xi Er framed her sister to marry the Fourth Prince. The Second Prince and his mother immediately decide that the Fourth Prince must not be allowed to marry into the family!
