Episode 19 recap: Jun Bei Yue Helps the Lu Family Settle Their Affairs

In Episode 19, as soon as the second brother hears about Jun Bei Yue's presence on Liuxian Island, he rushes to inform the queen. Upon hearing the news, the queen quickly realizes that Han Zi Qing has been obstructing the king from visiting Jun Bei Yue, which she views as a clear act of treason. Infuriated, she goes straight to confront the king.

When she arrives, she finds the king engrossed in a game of chess with Prince An. Just as she is about to bring up Jun Bei Yue, Prince An speaks first, mentioning that Jun Bei Yue is not at the royal residence and is recovering well. This angers the king, who questions Han Zi Qing about why he wasn’t informed.

Seizing the moment, the queen stirs the pot, declaring it a grave offense against the king. Prince An, however, defends Jun Bei Yue, leaving the king frustrated but hesitant to explode. The queen knows that if something happens in Nanzhao, they will have ways to respond.

Meanwhile, Nanzhao is also dealing with the fallout. Han Zi Qing’s unique status makes him untouchable, but with the grand event approaching, they consider inviting Jun Bei Yue and finding a solution.

On the other side, Han Zi Qing and Jun Bei Yue are on their way back to the mountain villa with the Lu family. Su Ying discreetly sends a message to Jiang Chen, saying that Bai Shao Zhu is waiting for him in the woods. Jiang Chen is hesitant but decides to go. Han Zi Qing and Jun Bei Yue see this as the right moment to help the Lu family resolve their issues.

Once back at the villa, Mei Ting urgently searches for Jiang Chen, leading the Lu family to discover he is missing. When the news spreads, the Jiang family rushes to the Bai family to find him. Mei Ting, anxious to leave, is stopped by Su Ying, who insists this involves the Lu family's reputation.

Ultimately, they can't be held back. Arriving at the Bai family’s doorstep, they hear the Jiang family shouting about Jiang Chen's situation, gathering a crowd. When Bai Shao Zhu appears, the Lu family demands to know what’s going on. Bai Shao Zhu accuses Su Ying of killing Jiang Chen and trying to frame him. The two sides argue, but neither is able to clarify the situation.

Just then, Jiang Chen suddenly appears, having been rescued by Ying Zi. He reveals the truth: he and Bai Shao Zhu indeed had dealings, but Su Ying aimed to take control of the Lu family, which is why they maintained a mutual relationship. Now that they wanted to kill him, he wouldn’t hold back and publicly exposed the birthmark on Bai Shao Zhu’s back.

This revelation leaves Bai Shao Zhu humiliated, and he retreats with his father. Furious, the Lu family patriarch expels Su Ying and pressures Mei Ting to divorce Jiang Chen, threatening to send her back to the Jiang family otherwise. Seeing Jiang Chen's true nature, Mei Ting agrees to the divorce, but Jiang Chen resists letting go. At that moment, Jun Bei Yue intervenes, forcing Jiang Chen to sign the divorce papers and expelling him. This finally brings calm to the Lu family villa.

Afterward, Jun Bei Yue and Han Zi Qing prepare to return to Tian Que. When they meet the king, both handle the situation with confidence. The queen tries to stir trouble, but Han Zi Qing counters her provocations effectively. Jun Bei Yue also assures that they will attend the Nanzhao celebration.

The queen plots to see Han Zi Qing make a fool of himself in Nanzhao. Before departing, Jun Bei Yue studies the situation in Nanzhao, and Han Zi Qing recognizes the dangers ahead. Ouyang volunteers to accompany them, reminding Jun Bei Yue that her family is already aware of Xin Er’s situation, suggesting a potential marriage.

Jun Bei Yue quickly denies this. Meanwhile, Bai Li Wei Sheng, Chu Fei Yan, and others are en route to Nanzhao, setting the stage for a grand spectacle.
