Episode 27 recap: Chu Fei Yan and the Grand Master Plot Against Han Zi Qing

In this episode, Chu Tian Ge impersonates Han Zi Qing to intimidate Jun Bei Yue. However, Jun Bei Yue isn't easily fooled and demands proof. Realizing he can't back up his claims, Chu Tian Ge quickly changes tactics, suggesting they both pretend that Chu Fei Yan's kidnapping of Han Zi Qing and her true identity never happened.

Han Zi Qing, being sharp-witted, sets a condition: Chu Tian Ge must agree to resolve the issues concerning Qian Qian and Si Tu Hao Nan. If he refuses, she'll make sure they all suffer, leaving Chu Fei Yan to deal with the consequences from the Southern Zhao king. Reluctantly, Chu Tian Ge agrees to announce the annulment of the marriage at the upcoming ritual three days later, bringing a temporary resolution to the situation. Jun Bei Yue and Han Zi Qing breathe a sigh of relief and leave.

As they walk side by side, Jun Bei Yue praises Lao Sha's culinary skills, and Han Zi Qing, feeling grateful, hugs him for the first time, making Jun Bei Yue incredibly happy. This moment is spotted by Li Ge, who quietly retreats into the shadows. Meanwhile, the Grand Master of Southern Zhao is en route to Xi Ling, having heard about Chu Fei Yan's actions. The Southern Zhao king orders him to eliminate Han Zi Qing upon arrival, as he no longer wishes to waste resources on her.

As for Chu Fei Yan, the king has decided she doesn't need to return. Upon hearing this, Qin Fei frantically writes multiple letters to Li Ge, but they all go unanswered, leaving even the maid worried about his safety.

Fortunately, Li Ge survives and is rescued, thanks to a protective heart elixir. When Jun Bei Yue and Han Zi Qing return to Lao Sha's house, they find he is not home. While chatting, they reminisce about past events involving Bing Tan. Chu Fei Yan had been infatuated with Jun Bei Yue, but Chu Tian Ge insisted she return to Southern Zhao.

Terrified, Chu Fei Yan avoids any encounters with Southern Zhao's people. Unexpectedly, the Grand Master confronts her directly, and she realizes her previous actions have come to light. When asked about her plans, she mentions Han Zi Qing being from a solitary island, with markings on her face that make her immune to poisons. The Grand Master is taken aback by this revelation.

Meanwhile, Li Ge, saved by Yu Xiao Meng and her mother, initially plans to leave but is unable to resist their hospitality and stays temporarily. Back in Dong Ling, Li Ge's mother is worried about him, especially since Zhao Xi has gotten into serious trouble. If Tian Que comes looking for them, they would struggle to cope.

Li Ge burns the letters sent by his family, expressing his desire to distance himself from these troubles. The Grand Master, following the king's orders, devises a plan to eliminate Han Zi Qing but realizes he needs Chu Fei Yan's help given his fragile position in Southern Zhao. At the ritual, Chu Fei Yan accuses Han Zi Qing of being from the solitary island and incites the crowd against her. Although Han Zi Qing remains calm and counters her claims, Chu Fei Yan loses control, forcing Han Zi Qing to retaliate with her sound attack.

Unexpectedly, the Grand Master ambushes Han Zi Qing, and she falls into his trap. Jun Bei Yue frantically rushes to save her but arrives too late. On Li Ge's end, despite initially showing little interest in outside events, he learns that the Princess of Xi Ling has killed the Fourth Princess of Southern Zhao. This news propels him into action, and despite not yet fully recovering, he rushes out, with Xiao Meng unable to hold him back.
