Episode 30 recap: Jun Bei Yue Meets His Mother

In episode 30, the Dream Clan Leader didn't stay long before he had to leave. Jun Bei Yue felt reluctant to let him go but understood he couldn't be forced to stay. He wanted to learn more about his mother, but the Dream Clan Leader only revealed that she had left home after an argument with him long ago. As for the rest, he simply stated that she had passed away and didn't elaborate further, leaving Jun Bei Yue with unanswered questions.

Meanwhile, King Nan Zhao was closely monitoring Han Zi Qing's every move and soon learned of her release. Chu Tian Ge had been sending letters urging them to mobilize troops for Tian Que, but both King Nan Zhao and the Grand Master were against this idea. Thus, the Grand Master advised King Nan Zhao to write to Chu Tian Ge, suggesting that if they sent troops, Nan Zhao would provide support from the rear. Their goal had never been Tian Que, so they maintained a facade of peace, which King Nan Zhao agreed with wholeheartedly. Upon receiving the letter, Chu Tian Ge was furious but felt powerless against Nan Zhao. Nevertheless, he had already dispatched his troops, determined to intimidate Tian Que, even if it meant facing defeat. Chu Tian Ge was genuinely enraged.

Xiao Sheng took care of Bai Li Wei Sheng, who was upset about being left alone in Nan Zhao. However, seeing his condition made Xiao Sheng worry about his well-being and fear for his life. Jun Bei Yue received news that Chu Tian Ge was stirring up trouble at the border but remained unafraid, knowing they wouldn't face significant threats. Surprisingly, it seemed that Xuan Yuan Li Ge was also making some moves. The next day, Jun Bei Yue and Han Zi Qing saw off Situ and Qian Qian, who were close to finalizing their happy union, and everyone was in high spirits.

Upon returning, Meng Lao Er and Meng Lao San were punished by their leader. The clan leader lamented how their elder sister, despite her intelligence, had been expelled for her mistakes, and he would not let them off easily either. Bai Li Wei Sheng gradually improved and finally remembered to give Han Zi Qing the blood token he had stolen from Nan Zhao. Han Zi Qing instructed Shi Liang to take it back to his room, but Shi Liang foolishly remarked that Han Zi Qing shouldn't keep items from other men. Han Zi Qing shot him a look, prompting Shi Liang to quickly explain himself. Just then, Jun Bei Yue entered, and Shi Liang brought up the blood token, leading even Jun Bei Yue to think that Han Zi Qing was confused about her priorities.

Later that night, when Han Zi Qing returned home, she discovered the blood token was missing. After asking Gu Xi, she learned that Shi Liang had taken it out with a qin. Han Zi Qing immediately went after him, but before she could confront him, she was attacked by someone who appeared to be from Nan Zhao. Fortunately, a mysterious figure in black helped Han Zi Qing escape danger.

That evening, while Han Zi Qing and Jun Bei Yue were contemplating how to sleep, they heard noise outside. To their surprise, it was the figure in black, who removed her veil and claimed to be Jun Bei Yue's mother! As she recounted how she had been deceived and died in an explosion when leaving the palace, Jun Bei Yue struggled to forgive her. Later, he went to the rooftop to drink alone, and Han Zi Qing joined him to offer comfort. Feeling warmth from her presence, Jun Bei Yue found clarity and decided to persuade his mother to stay rather than leave. They all returned to Tian Que together.

Upon their return, Han Zi Qing urged Jun Bei Yue to spend more time with his mother. Meanwhile, Shi Liang was up to some mischief, secretly providing Jun Bei Yue with undergarments. When Hong Yi saw this, she accused Shi Liang of overstepping her bounds, but to everyone's surprise, Shi Liang became defensive. Gu Xi had already noticed Shi Liang's unusual behavior and directly questioned her about her feelings for the prince. Shi Liang was left speechless.
