In Episode 31, Shi Liang hides in a corner, admiring a handkerchief belonging to Jun Bei Yue..Seeing her from a distance, Lady Wan, Jun Bei Yue's mother, approaches to check on her Shi Liang quickly explains that she just forgot to return the handkerchief and that her red eyes are due to sand getting in her glasses, assuring Lady Wan that she'll be fine soon Lady Wan expresses her desire to learn more about Jun Bei Yue's past, prompting Shi Liang to share everything she knows, including details about Situ Xin Er
Lady Wan shows Jun Bei Yue her favorite hairpin and offers to help organize the wedding for Han Zi Qing. Hearing this, Jun Bei Yue feels happy and goes to find Han Zi Qing. However, unaware of Han Zi Qing's true feelings, he thinks she has been avoiding him because she doesn't love him, so he chooses to leave instead. This decision weighs heavily on Han Zi Qing.
Jun Bei Yue spends his days drinking alone by the river, lost in thought. Han Zi Qing, realizing this, decides to confront him despite the shadows trying to stop her. She grabs the bottle from his hands and takes a swig, finally choosing to follow her heart without regrets. Understanding her feelings, Jun Bei Yue and Han Zi Qing are finally together!
The wedding preparations soon begin, with Lady Wan handling the invitations while Shi Liang stays by her side. When Lady Wan shows her the guest list, Shi Liang spots an unexpected name: Jian'an City! Lady Wan praises Shi Liang for her keen observation and gifts her a bracelet. Everything proceeds smoothly, with Han Zi Qing trying on her wedding dress and Jun Bei Yue reluctant to leave her side. Han Zi Qing jokes about changing the wedding dress to white, and Jun Bei Yue agrees. As the wedding arrangements are completed, Lady Wan expresses her happiness at seeing her son marry, even if she can't partake in the tea ceremony. Shi Liang comforts her throughout the event.
After the ceremony, Han Zi Qing kisses Jun Bei Yue, which brings him joy. However, their happiness is interrupted when guests from Jian'an City arrive unexpectedly! General Situ and his wife storm in, revealing that the Fourth Prince proposed to Xin Er recently. Jun Bei Yue and Han Zi Qing are taken aback. Jun Bei Yue insists there's been a misunderstanding and vows not to marry anyone else. Situ Hao Nan also tries to clarify that the incident was a mistake, and Jun Bei Yue promises to uncover the truth and give Jian'an City an explanation.
Upon hearing the news, Lady Wan suggests that Jun Bei Yue should marry Xin Er, believing Han Zi Qing would understand. However, Han Zi Qing firmly states that she will not share her husband with anyone else. Jun Bei Yue's stance is equally straightforward, leaving Lady Wan feeling a bit embarrassed.
Later, Jun Bei Yue takes Han Zi Qing to a special place he prepared, Heartfelt Pavilion. Lady Wan, distressed, begins to cry, prompting Shi Liang to ignore the warnings about her red dress and enter to comfort her. When Jun Bei Yue and Han Zi Qing return, they find Shi Liang saying that Lady Wan is unwell. After an apology from Lady Wan, everything seems to settle down. During their chat, Lady Wan hints that she worries Han Zi Qing might resent her and asks Shi Liang if she has feelings for Jun Bei Yue. Although Shi Liang hesitates to respond, Lady Wan insists she likes her and will help make things happen! Shi Liang can’t contain her joy!
