Episode 9 recap: Han Zi Qing and Jun Bei Yue's Fall into the Abyss

In Episode 9, Han Zi Qing specifically seeks out Shi Liang to inquire about the training progress of the soldiers. Shi Liang tells her that Gu Xi is training the hardest and has mastered his fire abilities, which makes Han Zi Qing very pleased. She thinks to herself that if these two could become her right-hand men, it would be fantastic! While they chat, Jun Bei Yue approaches and teasingly asks, "Is this the person who can't play the piano?" Han Zi Qing finds this quite amusing; when she touches the piano, music flows out effortlessly.

Jun Bei Yue is surprised to learn that Han Zi Qing has secretly helped him resolve issues in the Three Realms; she is quite resourceful. Without beating around the bush, Han Zi Qing directly asks Jun Bei Yue for the dagger. He readily agrees, promising to give it to her as a reward during the autumn hunt the next day.

The two of them are enjoying their conversation, completely unaware that the Second Prince is secretly scheming. He has summoned their uncle back to the royal city and involved Chu Tiange, planning to stir up trouble during the autumn hunt.

On the day of the hunt, Han Zi Qing is in high spirits, occasionally glancing at the dagger on Jun Bei Yue's waist, thinking about how she might use it to return to the real world. Suddenly, the peaceful hunt turns chaotic when an ambush occurs! Without hesitation, Jun Bei Yue and Han Zi Qing jump into the fray. When Han Zi Qing sees that Jun Bei Yue is in danger, she panics; she can't let anything happen to him, or she won't get the dagger.

Determined to protect him, she shields Jun Bei Yue, and they find themselves cornered at the edge of a cliff. In a critical moment, Han Zi Qing grabs the dagger and, taking a deep breath, jumps off the cliff with Jun Bei Yue. Fortunately, he holds onto her tightly throughout the fall.

When Han Zi Qing regains consciousness, she initially believes she has returned to the real world. Turning around, she finds Jun Bei Yue right there. Feeling a deep sense of disappointment, she admits to him that she wanted to go home, but her home isn't in Longyuan Continent. When Jun Bei Yue asks where her home is, she hesitates but eventually reveals the truth.

Jun Bei Yue comforts her, saying that since she's here, she should make the best of it, and encourages her to rest well. Han Zi Qing thinks a good night's sleep might help, but the next day, she feels just the same. Accepting her situation, she is thrilled when Jun Bei Yue gives her the dagger, but only under the condition that she must not hide anything from him in the future. Overjoyed, Han Zi Qing declares her loyalty to the Fourth Prince.

Although Jun Bei Yue smiles, he has already concluded that she is from a different world, given her many secrets. Meanwhile, the Second Prince is in a hurry to gain military power to deal with the armored troops. The king and his ministers are in a difficult position, but with the enemy attacking, they have no choice but to side with the Second Prince.

The Second Prince is delighted. Chu Fei Yan is unhappy with her brother's actions, believing that forming alliances is the right path. However, she knows that Chu Tiange has feelings for Jun Bei Yue and has his own plans, while their father only cares about results regardless of the means. Chu Fei Yan feels powerless against him.

Jun Bei Yue's subordinates inform him that the Second Prince intends to seize military power. The Fourth Prince quickly ensures Han Zi Qing's safety before rushing to the military camp. The Second Prince has already arrived, but Si Ma Xun refuses to hand over the military authority. Just in time, Jun Bei Yue arrives to expose the Second Prince's schemes, who tries to use their father's decree as a shield. Jun Bei Yue boldly declares that he will settle the score with him!

Meanwhile, Han Zi Qing isn't idle either. Chu Tiange sets an ambush and attempts to capture her in a carriage, but he is utterly unprepared for Han Zi Qing's fierce resistance, and she quickly stabs him! This marks a significant turning point for Chu Tiange.
