Episode 14 recap: Collaboration Between Shidai Logistics and Chengfeng Capital

In Episode 14, Zhao Kai met with the head of Hongshan Capital, who agreed to finance Zhao Kai's company. Rumors were circulating that this day would be the signing day. Before leaving home, Zhao Kai called Xing Wen Hao, and he agreed to let Xing Wen Hao's eldest son join Shidai Logistics, which made Xing Wen Hao very happy.

Xing Wen Hao's eldest son, Xing Qi Rong, was unaware of Zhao Kai's decision. To secure a position at Shidai Logistics, he secretly contacted kidnappers to plan Zhao Kai's abduction. As Zhao Kai was on his way to the signing, he had no idea that danger was approaching. A van was following closely behind, waiting for the right moment to force his vehicle to stop. When they finally collided, a group of men got out with iron rods, ready to smash the car windows. Just then, the kidnapper's phone rang. It was a call from Xing Qi Rong, who had just learned that Zhao Kai had agreed to let him in at Shidai Logistics. This caused the kidnappers to hesitate and ultimately leave.

Zhao Kai locked eyes with the kidnappers, realizing the imminent threat. Although he understood their intentions were malicious, he believed they were trying to prevent him from signing the contract. He quickly called his company to ask them to wait a bit longer. Despite sustaining a head injury, he immediately exited the vehicle, which had broken down, and decided to walk to the company.

At that moment, Fang Fang happened to drive by and offered him a ride. They finally made it to the signing, and Shidai Logistics successfully partnered with Hongshan Capital. Currently, key positions within the company were filled with people from Xing Wen Hao's side. The earlier scare left Zhao Kai rattled, and he promptly instructed Fang Fang to start working at Shidai Logistics the next day, advising her not to frequent the delivery points as before.

Song Qiao learned through her contacts that Hongshan Capital had recently suffered a significant investment loss, totaling around 40 to 50 billion. Based on her analysis, Hongshan likely did not have the funds to support Zhao Kai. However, she was puzzled by their apparent confidence; perhaps they had secured a new partner. According to standard financing procedures, the financing company would send someone to oversee Shidai Logistics, but Song Qiao had been unable to uncover who that person would be, which left her feeling uneasy.

Xing Qi Rong, along with Xing Wen Hao and his siblings, invited Zhao Kai for a meal, with Fang Fang also in attendance. In front of everyone, Xing Qi Rong expressed his determination, recounting how hard he worked during his time in prison, and then inquired about the position Zhao Kai would arrange for him. Zhao Kai explained that to reach a management role, he must start from the ground up and understand every aspect of the business. Consequently, he assigned Xing Qi Rong to a grassroots logistics position. After making bold claims, Xing Qi Rong found himself in a difficult position and reluctantly agreed.

Song Qiao asked Xu Dao Ming if he knew who Hongshan Capital would send to oversee Shidai Logistics. Xu Dao Ming solemnly claimed he was unaware. Even if he did know, he couldn't divulge that information. Zhao Kai was skeptical and pressed him for details. Xu Dao Ming mysteriously wrote down Song Qiao's name on a card, causing her to laugh, thinking he was joking.

The next day, during a press conference announcing Shidai Logistics' IPO, Song Qiao was shocked to learn that Chengfeng Group had signed a contract with Hongshan Capital three days prior, making Chengfeng Group the partner of Shidai Logistics—meaning her! She had no idea about this development and immediately called Xu Dao Ming, but he didn't answer.

When Hongshan Capital announced that they had transferred the financing matters to Chengfeng Capital and called Song Qiao to the stage to speak, her expression was awkward. Zhao Kai was equally surprised, but when he realized Song Qiao was unaware of the situation, he quickly took the opportunity to publicly acknowledge that he was informed about it.
