Episode 9 recap: Xu Wenhao's Schemes to Exclude Zhao Kai
In episode 9, Xu Daoming left without greeting Zhao Kai, deciding to use drones for deliveries, which resulted in chaos at the Bay Area delivery center. The employees were extremely agitated. When Zhao Kai heard that Fang Fang had gone there alone to calm everyone down, he panicked and tried to call her, but couldn’t get through, which only made him more anxious.
In the past, Zhao Kai had risked everything to revive Xu Wenhao’s shell company. To his surprise, instead of being grateful, Xu Wenhao encouraged Xu Daoming not to apologize, fearing for his own position on the board. With Xu Wenhao backing him, Xu Daoming became even more arrogant.

He stated that the company would always prioritize its people, instilling confidence in the delivery staff. His heartfelt words brought tears to the eyes of the employees at the direct sales store and boosted their motivation.
Meanwhile, Xu Wenhao, seeing the profits rolling in for the logistics company, began plotting. He first pushed Xu Daoming out, and when Zhao Kai offered him the position of second-in-command, he pretended to decline before reluctantly accepting. Zhao Kai thought Xu Wenhao genuinely wanted to help him because of their fathers' friendship, but little did he know that Xu Wenhao was only calculating his own gain—even willing to send his own son to prison, so how could he be sincere with an outsider?
