Episode 11 recap: He Zhi Nan Prepares to Find Gao Peng
In Episode 11, Han Su notices that Gao Peng seems angry, prompting her to recall Alex's advice about becoming friends with him. She tells Gao Peng that she knows the man in the photo, and they head to the riverbank. Han Su asks Gao Peng to bring out the picture of He Zhi Nan and Qu Yi Peng, revealing that the man is her ex-boyfriend.
She explains that when she first learned about He Zhi Nan, Qu Yi Peng and she hadn't completely broken up yet. Gao Peng empathizes, saying they both share a similar experience, and they go to a bar together. Gao Peng inquires about Han Su's impression of Qu Yi Peng, to which she responds that he is gentle and considerate, knowing how to comfort others.
She then asks Gao Peng about He Zhi Nan, and he describes her as sweet and principled. After chatting for a while, Han Su senses that Gao Peng's sadness outweighs his anger. He mentions that he always thought He Zhi Nan was just trying to get attention during their breakup, and he wonders why this time it feels so final.
Han Su observes that Gao Peng truly loves He Zhi Nan. After finishing their drinks, he walks Han Su downstairs and asks if she’s interested in his company. Han Su eagerly agrees, and they set a meeting for the next afternoon to discuss work. She adds that she believes He Zhi Nan’s missing out on Gao Peng is her own regret. Gao Peng smiles as he watches Han Su leave.
Meanwhile, He Zhi Nan is at the bar drinking when Sun Han Han arrives and asks why she's there in the middle of the day. He Zhi Nan shares that she has just gone through a breakup, prompting Sun Han Han to ask for details. He Zhi Nan explains that she experienced a sudden and definitive split, sending Qu Yi Peng a message that she’s busy.
Unable to reach him by phone or find him at work, it feels as though he has vanished. Reflecting on recent days, He Zhi Nan feels as if she hasn’t been in a relationship with Qu Yi Peng but rather with the version of herself that loves him. Coincidentally, a guy singing in the bar overhears her and incorporates her words into his song.
He Zhi Nan begins to sing along with the melody, and after the song ends, the guy approaches her to exchange contact information. He thinks she has a lot of talent, and He Zhi Nan finds him appealing as well. In a moment of decisiveness, she deletes Qu Yi Peng’s WeChat. Sun Han Han quietly observes her.
The next day at work, He Zhi Nan’s colleague informs her that someone is looking for her at the front desk.
He Zhi Nan goes to see the guy from the bar, whom she calls Teacher Zhang. He has come to share his new song with her and asks for her feedback. He Zhi Nan tells Sun Han Han that Teacher Zhang invited her to the recording studio, but Sun Han Han points out that they barely know each other. However, He Zhi Nan feels that Teacher Zhang is taking her seriously and believes he recognizes her talent.
Zeng Cheng just returned home after getting an ovulation shot, not expecting it to be so painful. Zhou Bin tells her to lie down and rest, but Zeng Cheng notices that Zhou Bin's music playlist has changed significantly. Upon closer inspection, she realizes he is listening to a playlist shared by a girl she knows—Sun Han Han.
Curious, Zeng Cheng secretly checks Zhou Bin's phone and finds that he has deleted all his call logs. Growing suspicious, she searches for Sun Han Han in Zeng Cheng's WeChat. Deliberately, she sends Sun Han Han a flirty message using Zhou Bin's phone, and just as she suspected, Zhou Bin is indeed cheating.
Zeng Cheng calls Han Su to share everything. Meanwhile, Zhou Bin secretly meets Sun Han Han on the ferry, where she asks him what’s going on. She wonders why he blocked her and why their meeting feels so secretive. Zhou Bin explains that Zeng Cheng found out about their relationship and has been causing a scene since yesterday. Sun Han Han questions whether he is hiding something from her, feeling that something is off. Zhou Bin reassures her and gives her a card.
At the bar, Gao Peng, Alex, Han Su, and others are hanging out, and Alex's cousin, Emily, is also there, getting along well with Gao Peng. Alex mentions he initially wanted to introduce her to Han Su. Han Su tells him that she now feels work is more important, while He Zhi Nan feels wronged by Teacher Zhang, who seems more interested in a physical relationship.
Heartbroken, He Zhi Nan decides to find Gao Peng, who tells her he’s on his way. Han Su asks Gao Peng if he would forgive He Zhi Nan if she were honest with him, but he remains silent. Zeng Cheng arranges to meet Sun Han Han privately, asking if she has done anything wrong lately.
