Episode 12 recap: Zeng Cheng Knows About Zhou Bin and Sun Han Han

In Episode 12, Sun Han Han visits Zeng Cheng, who admits it’s awkward but feels they need to have an honest conversation. Sun Han Han straightforwardly reveals that her boyfriend is Zeng Cheng’s ex-husband, emphasizing it’s just a coincidence and nothing to be embarrassed about. However, Zeng Cheng reveals that her relationship with Zhou Bin is a fake divorce, done for the purpose of investing in real estate, and they are planning to remarry soon.

Zeng Cheng also informs Sun Han Han that Zhou Bin has likely told her about his bipolar disorder, mentioning that he is an emotional person, and that Sun Han Han is a mature woman who understands. Upon hearing this, which echoes what Zhou Bin told her, Sun Han Han asks Zeng Cheng if Zhou Bin shared this with her. Zeng Cheng replies that she didn’t need him to; she could guess.

Tears well up in Sun Han Han’s eyes, but she remains composed. Zeng Cheng expresses hope that Sun Han Han will keep her distance from Zhou Bin, stating that she can overlook the past. Sun Han Han questions what would happen if Zhou Bin doesn’t want to keep his distance. She challenges Zeng Cheng’s assumption that women are the ones who seduce men, to which Zeng Cheng responds that Sun Han Han is still young and shouldn't think love conquers all. Sun Han Han retorts that while she is still young, Zeng Cheng has already lost hers.

Before Zeng Cheng can say more, Sun Han Han asserts that the law protects marriage relationships, but not fake ones. She insists she has done nothing wrong in the eyes of the law or in her feelings for Zhou Bin. After saying this, she leaves, but soon breaks down in tears as she walks away.

Alone, she takes the ferry to her old house, only to find someone already cleaning it out. Sitting on the stairs, she cries. Meanwhile, Zhou Bin is busy discussing business with Director Xu. Zeng Cheng keeps calling him, and Director Xu suggests he answer the phone.

Zeng Cheng tells Zhou Bin that he must return home immediately, regardless of where he is. Zhou Bin asks if they can discuss it later, as he finally managed to meet with Director Xu. Zeng Cheng presses him about the situation regarding Zhong Cheng Hui. Realizing this is Sun Han Han’s residence, Zhou Bin rushes home.

Once he arrives, Zhou Bin starts talking about unrelated matters. Zeng Cheng prompts him to explain the situation with Zhong Cheng Hui.

Zhou Bin claims that people like him receive affection from others, to which Zeng Cheng responds that this is not what she heard. She heard that the two of them were in love. Zhou Bin urges her not to listen to Sun Han Han's nonsense.

Zeng Cheng insists that he shouldn't downplay the situation, reminding him that they are already divorced. She points out that if he hadn’t relied on his connections and her family’s money, he wouldn’t have achieved his current status. Zhou Bin becomes angry and asks Zeng Cheng to stop bringing it up.

Frustrated, Zeng Cheng throws a cup to the ground. Zhou Bin tells her that while it’s fine to be angry, she shouldn’t break things. Zeng Cheng asserts that since they are divorced, everything in the house belongs to her, and she tells Zhou Bin to get out. Zhou Bin then goes to find Sun Han Han but is also kicked out.

Feeling irritated, Zhou Bin drives off and gets pulled over for drunk driving. When the police ask him to take a breathalyzer test, he impatiently blows into the device. The officer asks him to blow again, but Zhou Bin refuses, and the cars behind him start honking. Enraged, he gets out of his car and begins arguing with the driver behind him, resulting in his arrest.

The next day, as Zhou Bin is released, he immediately seeks out Sun Han Han, who is with He Zhi Nan, both getting ready to head back. Sun Han Han ignores Zhou Bin, but he insists he will wait for her downstairs.

Seeing Zhou Bin waiting outside, Sun Han Han can’t help but bring him a bottle of water. He tells her he doesn’t love Zeng Cheng anymore; he only loves her. Just then, Zeng Cheng calls, and in front of Sun Han Han, Zhou Bin declares that he isn’t going back.

Sun Han Han responds that if it’s really as he claims, he should go back, sort everything out, and then come find her. On his way back, Zhou Bin receives a video from Zeng Cheng showing the house in disarray, with broken items everywhere, and her brandishing a knife at the sofa. Meanwhile, He Zhi Nan goes to find Gao Peng, who tells her he’s too busy to meet and suggests she take a cab.

He Zhi Nan goes to Gao Peng’s house on her own and opens the door to find a crowd of people inside.
