Episode 11 recap: Lin Feng Discovers Jin Mu Qiu's Writing
In Episode 11, Zi Jing and her followers had not gone far when they were intercepted by Qu Zheng. Lin Feng's people soon caught up, but Zi Jing and her crew managed to escape. Realizing that it was pointless to continue the chase, Qu Zheng backed off, while Lin Feng dispatched his men to seal all exits. After hearing about the incident, Bai Wan and Jin Mu Qiu both worried for their loved ones. News came in that Lin Feng was safe, but there was still no word on Qu Zheng, prompting Bai Wan to rush off to find him.
Meanwhile, Jin Mu Qiu sought out Lin Feng. His subordinates hinted that Lin Feng was feigning illness to get more attention from Jin Mu Qiu, who found it endearing. Lin Feng felt embarrassed that his feelings were exposed and apologized for involving her. Jin Mu Qiu reassured him that she would stand by him through thick and thin. On Qu Zheng's side, he was devising a way to track down a certain individual and had resorted to using a tracking technique involving a special bird.
At this moment, a girl named Xiao Cui arrived with pastries, expressing gratitude to Qu Zheng for saving her previously. Just then, Bai Wan appeared, and Qu Zheng rushed to speak with her. However, the tracking bird suddenly stirred, forcing Qu Zheng to attend to it. Bai Wan understood but felt uneasy. She took some of Xiao Cui's pastries, mentioning she would give them to her husband, prompting Xiao Cui to leave discreetly. Jian Yun waved her hands in innocence.
Qu Zheng, following the tracking bird, located Zi Jing's room and overheard her discussing snow lotuses. Zi Jing candidly stated that she would be staying for a while longer, still preoccupied with thoughts of Bai Wan. Shortly afterward, Qing Yun arrived, and they discovered that the Young Princess was also present. Qing Yun exposed their secretive behavior and questioned why they hadn’t mentioned it. She then directly confiscated the snow lotus.
Later, Zi Jing met with Qing Yun, who bluntly asked if Jin Bai Wan was actually A Chu. Zi Jing was taken aback, realizing that after all this time, he still hadn’t forgotten her, and concluded that she couldn’t let him slip away again.
After Qing Yun learned that this matter was related to her father's injury, she gave the snow lotus to her.
When Qu Zheng returned, Bai Wan informed him that she had thrown away the pastries. Qu Zheng praised her decision, noticing that Bai Wan was feeling jealous, which made her shy. While they were talking, Zi Jing was lurking in the distance, preparing to take action. Suddenly, her poisoned needle was shot out. Qu Zheng, noticing the attack, shielded Bai Wan with his body, but he ended up getting hit and coughed up blood. Bai Wan immediately called for Su Zhuo Zhuo, who rushed over to tend to his wounds. Bai Wan was deeply concerned, but Qu Zheng told her not to leave him. She assured him she wouldn’t, but he reminded her that she had said the same thing before, to which Bai Wan had no recollection.
Meanwhile, in Taoyuan Valley, they were investigating the assassin and searched all the rooms, discovering Jin Mu Qiu’s writing notebook! Jin Mu Qiu had been contemplating whether to go on a diet that evening when she learned the news and rushed back. Lin Feng was currently trying to contain the situation, telling Jin Mu Qiu that the Young Lady of Taoyuan Valley should not write such disgraceful things. He also mentioned that he would help her suppress the matter this time and that such writings were not to be allowed in the future. Jin Mu Qiu was unwilling to comply, leading to a heated disagreement where they even declared they wouldn’t marry!
The conflict escalated to the elders of both families. Lin Feng was reluctant to explain the reason for the quarrel, and the Valley Master slapped him, insisting that Taoyuan Valley's reputation could not be tarnished. Lin Feng firmly stated that he would resolve the issue, and the marriage would proceed as promised. Jin Mu Qiu was taken aback; she had felt sympathy for Lin Feng, but he had brought up the families' honor, insisting that the marriage must be fulfilled while implying that whatever happened privately was secondary. Jin Mu Qiu felt heartbroken, realizing that the reputation of Taoyuan Valley mattered more to Lin Feng than anything else.
When Bai Wan woke up, she found herself in Qu Zheng's bed. Qu Zheng quickly awoke, and Bai Wan felt embarrassed. She seized the moment to express her intention to visit the Young Lady. Qu Zheng, with a playful smile, teased her to get up quickly, or she might not be able to! Bai Wan, feeling shy, leaned in and kissed Qu Zheng!
